New Child Passport - 1 week fast track service

Has anybody tried the 1 week fast track service for new child passport ? Do they check and return the supporting documents (BRP, etc) at the appointment or keep it ?

We are planning to apply the first British passport for our boy (we both parents with ILR obtained before he was born)

Thanks!

ILR - Entered airport with BRP but biometrics not checked

Hi All Yesterday when arriving in Gatwick (back from a short trip to France),we presented our BRP with ILR but the IO did not check for biometrics (finger print) or ask any questions. Is this normal ? We were really tired so did not ask about it Usually we were asked for the index finger scan with t...

Re: Documents returned early for Travel - Advice?

I finally received my documents and the passport has the COE in it, 9 working days after recall. The strange thing is the COE has a date before I recall my documents. So probably mine has already been processed before I asked for the recall. From the date of the letter of acknowledgement to the date...

Re: Documents returned early for Travel - Advice?

Hi Guys

I have just recalled my documents for emergency travel (ROA application) and hope to receive it soon. Did you get the return documents by normal delivery ?

Since I have included return special delivery envelope I hope they would use that and not some second class mail

Re: Right of Abode (within UK) - 2017 Processing Times

I think this may have been changed recently https://www.gov.uk/visa-documents-returned You might have to cancel your application - you’ll be told if you have to do this when you ask for your documents back. For Nationality application (ROA) it seems there is option to recall without withdrawing. I h...

Re: Right of Abode (within UK) - 2017 Processing Times

When did you apply .. Early, mid or late March ? From the forums and friend's experience, ROA used to take 2-3 months but now it seems to take longer. In my mind it is a simple check - Baby born in the UK and parents have ILR when baby was born. No other criteria. Not sure why it has to take so long...

Re: Right of Abode (within UK) - 2017 Processing Times

I applied early April and still have not heard anything and status showing awaiting decision. Due to emergency travel, I am going to recall my documents. There is an option to recall documents without withdrawing from the process - anybody tried that ?

Hi Guys,
I am also applying ROA for my new born baby born in the UK (to settled parents).

Did you guys just send the BRP to prove settled status or the passports as well ?

Thanks, Alex

Re: Worried because of last week of extension

Welcome to the redundant extension club.. the risks are few and unlikely (multiple FPNs, court fines, rule change after election) but there is too much at stake. I still hate paying so much and becoming a cash cow to the ukvi over the last few years. if you can vote this may , choose who you vote wi...

Thanks for sharing your experience of renewal
Is there no need to submit the degree certificate (qualification) and the English Language proof since they have been proven in the tier 1 application ? Did you include those as well

Re: Tier 1 G 2nd extension just before ILR

Now is the time for me to start getting a little worried, as there is no avenue to stay after the 6th if there is any issue with the ILR (which is unlikely of course based on the successful postings on this board) When you extend only the main applicant leave, do you only submit documents for yourse...

Are you going to try this.. I am in the same situation (eligible end of May)
Not sure if it will cause issues later during the application day due to insufficient payment

I am also in the same situation - enough points, fulfilled all the criteria, eligible in June Thought about it but probably decided not to go for extension It is an extra insurance/safety net but a very expensive one (£2000 per applicant PEO) , with the ILR fee already going up to £2000 per applican...

Re: Tier 1 Main applicant extn while dependent waits until I

This does not make sense.. From the Immigration Rules 245CB. Period and conditions of grant (a) Leave to remain will be granted for: (i) a period of 3 years, or (ii) the period the applicant needs to take his total leave granted in this category to 5 years, whichever is the longer So in a "redundant...
