Thanks, my questions is actually general one. I wanted to know if having two application will affect each other chance of success or if it doesn't matter and each application will be looked at on its own individual merits regardless of other. I know it is a bit complicated. Never mind.

Is it a good idea to contact ukba myself?. It's been a year and I still don't know what is happening to my application. My solicitor wrote them twice and I still haven't heard anything. You can contact UKBA yourself and use your MP as well. I am not sure whether is good idea or not to write to them...

@letsee thanks. Sometimes I feel I did a big mistake, I should apply under 14 years rules, doesn't matter clock stopped, probably have a chance of getting descretiong rather than getting ILR.
