Hi, My wife is EU citizen but two years ago she got her British citizen after having her PR for a year. I do have at moment a RC of EU family member (as spouse). My Residence card will expire next year in March, but I will complete five years in UK in December. 1- Can i apply for PR in December bec...

Re: Divorced with PR citizenship/visa application

Hi all I have a quandary over a couple of things. First of all, I already have a PR (issued in May 2014) but we have then divorced. I do not have the paperwork to prove it yet. Divorce took place in an EU member state, but not UK. So: 1) I need to apply for a Schengen visa (and a few more). While I...

Just wonder how come you have 2 valid passports at the same time?
I might be wrong but no country will issue a new passport without stamping the other as cancelled !!

Re: What happens to on EEA wifes status?

Hi Forum Can anyone confirm what a non EEA wifes status would be if she was granted a 5 year RC and has resided in the UK but its due to expire in February 2015 and she has to travel abroad for a family wedding in March 2015. Its unlikely that the application for PR would be dealt with before she t...

Re: May 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

@slaluc, you are mixing between the requirements to secure PR based on European regulations and obtaining UK citizenship which is a different thing. For BC, you should not be away more than 90 days in the last year prior to your application. you mentioned that you were away 351 days in the last year...

Re: More documents requested including Passport

They can check if they are in doubt. Try to send them any proofs like council tax payments or perhaps monthly rent/ mortgage payments.I think it might be a good idea to send along a cover letter explaining your situation. make sure the post is registered or preferably special delivery.

Re: More documents requested including Passport

They did not ask for your passport according to what you wrote so i do know why you say they want your passport!! Basically, being an EU national, your passport will not be stamped if you enter UK. they want to ensure you were physically present in UK since you obtained your PR and has not been abse...

Re: Is ELA required from UK NARIC for a US Degree?

Unless you are a national of a majority English speaking country, you will still need either: 1- NARIC confirmation " English language assessment". or 2- PBS print out awarding you 30 points for the degree plus 10 points for English. You do not have to be on tier or HSMP visa to use PBS, you can sti...

just put 01/01/1900 and deceased.
in page 15 "FURTHER INFORMATION NOT COVERED IN OTHER SECTIONS" just mention that both are deceased and you do not know their DOB.

It should not make any difference to the application as far as I am aware ( unless one of them was British).

Re: Invitation letters on hold?

I am guessing ( which i might be wrong) it is related to the passports backlog.
Nearly every one applies for a British passport once they are naturalised ( same week). may be it is away to reduce number of applications for passport for the time being!!

i suppose you are an EEA national ? hope it makes sense now! Swedish is an EEA national. I didnt understand a single word. (I know its only £55), but 1. I always thought that I can apply for BC without having a residence card or EEA3 card 2. Yes, I had a break in employment. I have been out of work...

i suppose you are an EEA national ? form EEA3 is different from AN for for BC. Employment is not part of the naturalisation process. on the other hand, to obtain PR in order to apply for BC ( whether have the card or not), you will need to show evidence of exercising treaty rights ( employment, stud...

Re: Driving Offence Naturalisation Application

I came across few examples where applicants were granted ILR although they have unconditional conviction. may be the criteria are more relaxed , not sure ! As far i am aware, his chances for BC are remote as the conviction is unconditional and he needs to wait for 3 years from the court date to apply.

not pretty sure, but she might be able to apply if her partner becomes BC providing they are married!
May be the 3 years rule can be applied here? whether it is feasible or not, i am not 100% sure.
