silly problem

Hello everyone, I have a silly problem here. Most of you probably will be laughing but what the hell, I will shoot. My husband filled in the EEA 2 application form in blue ink - can it be rejected? Secondly, the media start to threaten EEA nationals living without residency card in the UK that soon ...

Hello again. I have few questions. I got a part-time job (24 hours a week). My husband is employed through agency full-time. What is the bottom line to prove that we can sustain the living together? My husband's employer will be paying his salary into joint account and my salary will also be paid in...

About being jobseeker and self-suffiecient I found on the UKBA website a statement: In most circumstances we would expect an EEA national to be economically active within six months. It is highly likely that an individual claiming a right of residence as a job-seeker will also be exercising treaty r...

but if you are looking for work/job seeker just keep all the papers, emails ( job applications, rejection letters ) in case UKBA ask for it later. by the way, if UKBA asks for any documents during the process, the documents have to show current situaton or the situation "at the moment of applicatio...

Very complicated area. And not so fast wiggsy. Key thing is that the EU citizen is resident in the UK, even if they are not present in the UK. If they fly in with the family member, and then leave later that day, then I think you could argue that they stop being resident when they leave. But if the...

Not quite... because until you establish that your qualified , your qualification will end when you leave. (if you leave before establishing self sufficiency in the country etc - IE setting up home, and so on). How can I establish that I am qualified? For example, I will start seeking a job straigh...

Click on given links for more details. A jobseeker is a qualified person. @Asikk- They are also qualified during the first three months of residence. So the EEA's self sufficiency could be established via the spouse during this time (the CSI for the EEA can be covered by a non UK EHIC card (up unti...

(...) Unfortunately, the non-EAA family members cannot work before the EEA national is a qualified person ( 71 ). Vinny, where does it say that a non-EU cannot work before EEA NAtional is a qualified person? Let's take an example, I (as a EU citizen) will start searching for a job in the very first...

Self-sufficient ( 4(1)( c ) ) and jobseeker ( 6(4) ) are slightly different. The former also requires 4(1)( c )(ii) comprehensive sickness insurance cover in the United Kingdom ( 15,16 ). Yes I know they are different, but I have read on UKBA site that in many cases when being a jobseeker you will ...

Thanks very much. Is being self-employed a hard nail in the UK? Do normally companies prefer to employ someone on the basis of being self-employed or rather as a worker?

If husbands of EU nationals have a full right to reside and work in the UK, why then anyone bothers to make those RCs? I guess that either because employers need a proof of them being on legal terms or because of free movement within Europe...

Hey guys, I have a question about being self-employed. When my husband was on studies in the UK two years back and was allowed to work there, the employers were asking him "are you self-employed?" Once he answered that he is a worker, and then the British friend from the same company asked him " do ...

Sure but how would you prove that - with your passports and marriage certificate? Employers are not experts in recognising documents. That's why they would like to see an official approval by an official UK institution. That is why I am asking you guys is there any other way we can prove that even ...

I think that you mean an EEA family permit rather than EEA 1, for your non-EEA husband. Yes of course I meant EEA family permit for my non-EU husband. You can apply for a Residence Card (using EEA2) any time you qualify, even after the EEA Family Permit expires. There are several ways to exercise t...

confused

The lack of joint bank accounts shouldn't be an issue, as the EEA national may rely on the resources of family members ( 4(2), 4(3), 4(4) ). However, it's more complicated . Unfortunately, the non-EAA family members cannot work before the EEA national is a qualified person ( 71 ). Put another way, ...

Hello everyone, I am sorry in advance if my post will seem not in place (just direct me to the right place, please) but I have few questions to all you experienced people :) I am an EEA national. My non-EEA husband and me will very soon be travelling to the UK on EEA1. It will already be one month a...
