Guys I am in a similar situation
When you get in front of these people for interviews , being an Asian I think will be a disadvantage. I am in Uk for the past 4 months without a job and am running short on my cash reserves. So am planning to go back to my country in a few weeks time.

I submitted the following and successfuly got the extension,

1)FLR(IED) form + passport + photos.
2)10 months Pay slips
3)10 months Bank statements

I had 2 months before expiry. I guess you could do the same. I have read a few posts here where they have returned passports of people applied too early (2.5 months). So did not want to take a chance there.

I sent it by Royal mail 'Special Delivery' and the HO sent it back by recorded delivery.

Sorry for the confusion, This is exactly what it says. I think it is a standard letter that everyone gets on FLR approval.

Papafaith: NO, This is for the FLR(IED) HSMP extension for 3 years, The time frames for approval are now about 1 to 2 weeks from what I have read from a few posts here.
