I also had similar situation for my 6 months doctor. I wrote an email to Home office and got reply from them saying that it is fine to get it sign by any professional person known to her.

I would like to apply directly for British citizenship without going through NCS. I have on 2 Year WP + 3 Year Tier -1 and 1 year ILR route.

Does any one know that how long it takes to get documents (passport, visa etc) retrun from UKBA?
