Re: Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI)

Hi there, just saw this and not sure if I can be of too much extra help, but I found that Belfast is a good centre to go to if you desperately need an appointment - I got an appointment for Monday on the previous Friday (Afternoon). It is also quite sparsely populated so you will be seen very quick...

Re: Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI)

But then submitted the passport at Hounslow. OCI were received fine. Thank you jfrusc. ILR = indefinite leave to remain...

Re: Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI)

Hi All, Quick update as I now have an acknowledgement - so the waiting game starts! Current status reads 'under-process' on the OCI website. Still have these questions though: a) Does an application in Belfast (or any of the other centres, e.g. Birmingham / Edinburgh, etc.) slow your processing down...

Re: Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI)

Hi All, Jumping on the bandwagon here, with an OCI application for my little boy just lodged in Belfast. We live in the south, but I chose to fly to Belfast as we have an India trip booked in mid-Jan and wanted to give ourselves plenty of time given the processing times and the Christmas period. Bel...

ILR with speeding / traffic offence

Apologies if this is covered elsewhere, I just wanted to shout out my query as I'm quite keen to get some views: Hi I've booked an application for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) on the 23rd of August and have paid the required fees. I just wanted to confirm the responses to Section 7 of the SET (O...

Criminal Record Certificate- Tier 2 Dependant to Tier 2 General Out of Country Switch

Hi All My wife is currently in India and has received an email from the BDHC asking for police clearance certificates from China, India and the UK, from the ECO reviewing her case. She is a doctor and whilst I acknowledge that the requirement is well founded, her sponsor never mentioned this to us a...

Re: Personal Injury Claim - Order on Settlement on Behalf of Child or Patient

Thanks CR001 - much appreciated. The only reason I did think about this is because one of the questions in the form reads: At any time have you ever had any of the following, in the UK or in another country? for which one of the bullets is "A civil court judgment against you, for example for non pay...

Hi All Am changing employment in the UK and would be grateful for some advice on my situation. I would like to know whether an "Order on Settlement on Behalf of Child or Patient" is to be declared at the time of completing my Tier 2 General leave to remain application (in-country). Re: Resident Labour Market Test - TIER2

1) I do not have any offer letter. I asked them to provide me at least a conditional offer, but they said they cannot do this. Is this normal? Can't they at least give me a conditional offer during/before R.M.L.T. process? Do I have to just relax and wait a month to pass without having any kind of ...

Re: Insurance claim / Court judgement. Will this impact ILR

As vc2013 hasn't clarified just this one point - Can someone please confirm whether a personal injury claim against me (paid out by the Insurance Company) is counted as a 'Civil Penalty' or shows up on one's personal records in any way? By extension, should this be declared on an ILR application in ...

Same Situation

Hi, I'm in exactly the same situation :? My visa "valid from" date is Sep 30, the same as my joining date... My employer's lawyer has sent me a letter that I can submit to the BDHC to amend the date to Sep 16. But I am not exactly sure how to contact the ECO / BDHC. The lawyer also mentioned a form ...
