Re: A few questions re: naturalisation application

Hi. I actually have a question regarding your application. As a Canadian citizen do you need to provide any extra information/take extra steps, to get your dual nationality? To give you an idea of what I mean, As a South African citizen you need to get a letter from the UK saying you dont have Briti...

nitinaggarwalin and KrisVisa - I received my approval last week and I did not hand in an employment history letter or any P60's. For myself (Tier 1 to ILR - set(o)) it is not a requirement, but I also noted a lot of people provided it. I took some P60's with just in case (I did not have all 5 years)...

Agree with D4109125.
I had a large amount of absence (311 in total, 180 in 1 of my visa years) and did not supply any letter/evidence

Success in Croydon - 4 Sept (with long absence)

Thank to every one in this forum, I have read a lot of posts which helped me a lot. I thought I would post my success story, its pretty straight forward but I know a lot of people are questioning their days out the country as I have a lot in my one visa year I thought it might help. There is a lot o...

Great news! I am applying for mine next week and also have a stress about the days out the country as in my one year I was away for 180 days on the dot (this was not 1 continuous 180 day break but split with 1 big sabbatical and other smaller holidays when I had started work again). I am wondering i...

I would say your best bet is to go through your passport and make a note of every stamp that is in your passport and then link them up. I did this in Excel which was the easiest. Most stamps have the name of the place anyways which makes it easy. Its slightly time consuming but probably the easiest

Hi rarun53

Firstly congratulations!! :) I have the same question as momo, did you mention your 44 days absence between jobs in your cover letter or anything? I have an absence of about 100 days between jobs where I went travelling and I am wondering if I should mention this in a cover letter?

It might make it easier if you include a form (excel/word doc) of all your days out of the country if they are not all listed in your employee letter.

Good luck. Mine is next week :)

Its great to see you haven't provided the letter from the HMRC for your 5 year employment history as I am not sure I will get mine in time :)

Congrats on your ILR, I am hoping for the same ease of success!

HMRC letter

Hi db_23 Glad to hear your application was successful. I just had a question on your documentation. For the HMRC employment history letter, what exactly is that? Did you just call the HMRC and ask them to provide a letter to say you have paid taxes for the last 5 years? I have heard I need this, but...
