Hi. I actually have a question regarding your application. As a Canadian citizen do you need to provide any extra information/take extra steps, to get your dual nationality? To give you an idea of what I mean, As a South African citizen you need to get a letter from the UK saying you dont have Briti...
nitinaggarwalin and KrisVisa - I received my approval last week and I did not hand in an employment history letter or any P60's. For myself (Tier 1 to ILR - set(o)) it is not a requirement, but I also noted a lot of people provided it. I took some P60's with just in case (I did not have all 5 years)...
Thanks dk2011 seen some of your comments so you were a provider in helping me :) pragneshmpatel - Yes my first Tier 1 was applied from my home country (as this was during the change over from HMSP to Tier 1) I got my approval letter here but then had to go home to get my visa. They did not mention m...
Thank to every one in this forum, I have read a lot of posts which helped me a lot. I thought I would post my success story, its pretty straight forward but I know a lot of people are questioning their days out the country as I have a lot in my one visa year I thought it might help. There is a lot o...
Great news! I am applying for mine next week and also have a stress about the days out the country as in my one year I was away for 180 days on the dot (this was not 1 continuous 180 day break but split with 1 big sabbatical and other smaller holidays when I had started work again). I am wondering i...
I would say your best bet is to go through your passport and make a note of every stamp that is in your passport and then link them up. I did this in Excel which was the easiest. Most stamps have the name of the place anyways which makes it easy. Its slightly time consuming but probably the easiest
Firstly congratulations!! I have the same question as momo, did you mention your 44 days absence between jobs in your cover letter or anything? I have an absence of about 100 days between jobs where I went travelling and I am wondering if I should mention this in a cover letter?
I have spent 180 day out in 1 visa year and I am not submitting any evidence, I apply for my visa next week, hoping for a success story, will let you know if that causes any issues.
I would be curios to know how your visa appointment went, I have mine in 2 weeks (eek!). One main question is did you get a letter from HMRC covering your 5 years employment?
Great to know vivdubes. I couldnt even really seen in the application where it was needed, but it seems a few people on the forum and my friends got it so would like to have it 'just in case' but wont look at changing my appointment
I rang that number now and was helped quickly. My appointment is in 2 weeks from today so hope I get the letter soon, If I don't get it by next week, I might see if I can change my appointment just in case.
Now just the waiting.
Hi everyone. I am applying on the 4th Sept for my ILR. I just have a 2 questions 1) I currently hold 2 passports South African and Canadian. I travel on my canadian, I have never handed this in for any of my other visa applications. Do I need to take this passport with me for my application? 2) I ha...
Hi db_23 Glad to hear your application was successful. I just had a question on your documentation. For the HMRC employment history letter, what exactly is that? Did you just call the HMRC and ask them to provide a letter to say you have paid taxes for the last 5 years? I have heard I need this, but...
