Re: Social Groups and Cultural ties

Definitely not about social media haha!! I listed that I still had all of my family back home, a few dwindling friends that gets smaller every year I am in the UK, a savings bank account, and a driver's licence in case UK employment didn't work out (I'm sure my caseworker got a kick out of my answer...

Re: BRP delivery in 2 days (in case anyone is wondering)

Thank you!! They sent my BRP to the wrong address the last time and took a week to find it so was surprised this time around lol! saathyr - yes I had a premium appointment. No idea how long it takes for postal as I've never used the postal route except for my Tier 5 many moons ago (7.5 years ago) an...

BRP delivery in 2 days (in case anyone is wondering)

Just in case anyone is wondering about BRP delivery timelines, my ILR was approved on Monday, Oct 22 at Croydon PSC and have received my BRP this morning. Received an email from DX at 6:19 this morning notifying me of it being delivered today. I came down the stairs at 8am and noticed a letter throu...

Re: Tier 2 General to ILR - clarification

My ILR was approved yesterday and I didn't have an absence letter from my first employer. I instead had a letter from them explaining why they couldn't provide an absence record and I wrote a cover letter detailing salary, CoS details, dates of employment, the fact that I was paid my regular salary ...

Re: Salary Increase Before ILR

There are others that are better placed to answer that than myself but from what I read from the deferred applications thread, a lot depends on the caseworker. It does appear that your employer is helping you reach the appropriate salary threshold but the more evidence that you can provide to prove ...

Re: Salary Increase Before ILR

Good - do you have access to your performance review itself? Might be worth taking that along. Also, if your company ONLY allows for raises during certain times in the year, make sure that is outlined somewhere from your employer. For instance, we have salary reviews every quarter but actual changes...

Re: Premium Service Centre for ILR - London Victoria

This showed up for me as well when trying to book my ILR appointment. Victoria doesn't process ILR visas; it's a glitch so ignore it. Amazing what your £3K pays for....

Re: date fingerprints were taken

Has the same issue, I knew the fee was £19.2 at the time, so just tracked the transaction on my bank card to find the date. If you used a card to pay you may be able to find the date from that. It really depends on who paid for it - for me, everything was paid for by my company already so no record...

Re: Salary Increase Before ILR

Hi Guys, My situation is quite simple. The only concern for me now is salary increase 3 months before my croydon appointment (book for 4th Nov, increase in August, was reported in the SMS system). My salary was increased from 36k to 39k. And the salary for experience worker for my code is 37.8k. Wo...

Re: Preparing for Life in the UK test

LITUK test is a very easy test HOWEVER I have read that they are seeking to make it more difficult. So, if your wife isn't due to take it for a few years yet, I wouldn't worry now as the LITUK test is directly based off of the handbook itself which looks like it could change quite a bit coming up. I...

Re: 1 day short before 5 years qualify period

Thanks for your input, Lynz. I am thinking the same. :( Unfortunately, I don't think the new employer will support ILR, at the very best they might support Tier 2 fee. Pete Sorry I should have clarified - I didn't mean financial support for the ILR itself (i.e. paying for the visa) but meant suppor...

Re: Questions regarding ILR and absence

Need help again! I don't know how I am ended up doing these silly mistakes. Right, I was filling another form, just to see what exactly they are expecting under "Have you previously lived in a country outside the UK including your country of birth?" section, so I could add same details on my form w...

Re: 1 day short before 5 years qualify period

To play it safe, I would take a new sponsorship/job as stated and then in May/June apply for ILR from the new job rather than the current job. Just my opinion though and especially if the new employer will support you for your ILR.
