Thats the problem. The letter from employer doesn't cover all the absences. It only covers my annual holidays and not the 1 day against time off in lieu.

and should i even submit the offer letter as a proof along with the application? The guidance for tier 2 doesnt mention that you need to provide any docs to support tbe points claimed under 'Salary', but i read on the forum that i should submit my offer letter as well.

that is the first route i am going to take, ask my sponsor to tick the box for maintenance. Is that all required or would i need another maintenance funds letter as well from them?
If it doesnt work, I will go the FD way. My bank is in the 'accepted' list.

Yes, that's an option to ask the employer to tick on maintenance. The only concern is whether they would be willing to actually pay it.
