Re: Refused Universal Credit - help?

Hi there, I am asking this question for a friend, an EU national. She has been living in this country with her two children, 9 and 3, for some time now and with her partner, who is self-employed. The partner isn't her husband or the father of the children but they have been living as a family and r...

Re: Refused Universal Credit - help?

She can work, and in the UK she is expected to work when her youngest child is age 1 if she cannot afford to keep her children and needs benefits. How about that: Will I need to look for work to receive Universal Credit? This will depend on your circumstances. If you have a child who is under the a...

Re: Refused Universal Credit - help?

Where have her children been living before they came to to the UK on 2018? Has she looked to see if that country will continue to pay benefits for them in the UK? She can work, and in the UK she is expected to work when her youngest child is age 1 if she cannot afford to keep her children and needs...

Re: Thousands of EU citizens ‘at risk of losing legal status after Brexit’

Hi guys, I have read as much as I could about the new scheme for settled and pre-settled status but one thing I could not understand. At the moment, an EU citizen is required to have lawfully resided, exercising treaty rights, in the UK for 6 years and to have acquired Permanent Residence, before th...

Re: British citizenship application - 3 year route

Another question about the same text: If you have already satisfied the requirement to have sufficient knowledge of language and life in the UK, on or after 28 October 2013, you do not have to demonstrate it again. If a person has passed the test Life in the UK in 2008 prior to obtaining ILR, does t...

Also, how should I state my absences from the country on that application form? I thought, If I apply, lets say, on 10 October 2013, I should review the period of the last 3 years, i.e. from 10 Oct 2010-10 Oct 2013 but on that application form for the interview, they state: if you are submitting an ...

Also, check with your NCS that they are going to post the application before 24th of Oct as the home office says on their website that they should receive the application by 25th oct which is the last working day before 28th. Thank you very much for that, Ozair - but how can I do that? As I said, t...

Nationality Checking Service - time of applying & docume

Hi there, I'm about to apply for naturalization after ILR (7,5 years in UK altogether). My question is - which date is considered the date of application when using NCS - the date of the interview or the date the application form actually reaches UKBA - and how long after the interview this will app...

Thanks for the useful information, just one question more. I've had a parking ticket because I left my car at the shopping centre parking lot 10 or 15 minutes above the 3 hours limit (I wasn't aware of the limit at the time). The fine has been paid there and then (£60) but I have no recollection of ...
