Then I’d say go ahead and start the application if you’re already eligible. It’s certainly not the fastest (or most transparent) process, so you can use all the extra time available to you.
Thanks for the advise! Will start gathering the docs.
I didn’t see it in your post but also didn’t ask in my response; do you have a current in date IRP card? If so, just apply under that one if it’s not yet expired.
There is and no it hasn’t expired yet. I have until end of June this year.
I just received my approval letter for permanent residency (EUTR3). I won’t get the new permanent residence card until I see an immigration officer on the 28th of April. However, I also know that I already qualify to apply for naturalisation. My question is (if anyone knows for certain), can I apply...

Good day, We are in the process of applying for my husband’s citizenship (he is a UK national). Does anyone know for certain if the person that can certify his documents (bio page of passport , birth certificate) has to be a practicing solicitor? It only shows on the website “solicitor”. I know of a...
If you are referring to a permanent resident document as part of the withdrawal agreement (and it seems you might be; EUTR1, etc.) then there is no fee.

Hi If you think you were mistreated then you could send email to eujustice.ie then if still not work out then try Solvit, that is what I did with HO in UK long times ago. Plus Galway ,my first app on EU permit applied there but Garda didn't have a clue what it was ,as main applications on daily basi...
I wonder what County is it? If it's a very small county then maybe they are not aware of the rules? My friend was asked to pay 300 euros for GNIB card but when he told them it's EU Treaty application again then officer said and what? Then person told him the rule that there is no charge then Gardai...

Garda can ask whatever they want. In another post I had the same question and I also sent a letter of complaint to INIS asking why do we have to ask all these document. https://www.immigrationboards.com/ireland/stamp-4-on-passport-t282243.html Read what I've sent and the response of the INIS office...
I disagree that they could ask for anything they like. That is nonsense. The Immigration European communities regulation 2015 and directive 2004/38 is what governs the right of people exercising treaty rights in Ireland. Regional immigration unit can ask for evidence to satisfy themselves that a pe...

We live in County Galway and when I phoned the immigration officer in Galway City, they asked for basically all of the documents that we already sent to INIS. The officer said their office is a separate department to INIS and that they needed to have the documents for their office so I just brought ...
I applied using EU1 form as spouse of an EU Citizen on the 22nd of November 2018 and received the temporary stamp 4 letter on the 5th of February, I think you just have to wait, They'll eventually get round to doing it.
