Lost ILR BRP - Replacement still not received after more than 2 months

Hello, My wallet was stolen with my BRP (ILR) and I went to the Croydon office to provide my biometrics, check documents and submit the application on 24 June. I still have not received any confirmation letter or anything from the Home Office, after almost 2 months. What should I do? I can't find th...

Re: UKVCAS Super Priority Service

Hi all, I got my ILR and I wanted to share my experience. Overall, I think it was great, very smooth and fast. I'm very pleased with the service. Here is the timeline of events: I submitted my application (SET (O); applied via Tier 2 General) online on 17 January and selected an appointment for 1st ...

Re: Tier 1 Entrepreneur + Tier 2 General ILR

Hi @ka_12212, I'm in exactly the same boat as you were (T1E - 3 years, then switch to T2 General for 2 years) and I'll be applying for my ILR in early January 2019. Your advice has been very helpful. In addition to Corporation Tax filings, Self-Assessment statement letters, filing history, company a...

Re: I GOT THE VISA!!!

@shk786, the letter said: "although we would normally decide your application within 8 weeks, unfortunately this is not goign to be possible in your case. A decision has been delayed as a result of further checks."

But clearly, this didn't happen and it was a mistake on the part of Home Office.

Re: A decision Delayed????????

I posted earlier that I got this same kind of letter, but guess what, today I received my approval letter!!! So in 3 weeks the case was processed. I'm not sure why I got that letter about delay and checks?! I applied on 8th of this month and so it didn't even take 8 weeks to process!

Re: I GOT THE VISA!!!

Also, I organised it so well. I used many pos-its, pocket folder, sent application in 1 binder and the doucments all divided into sections (using dividers) in another with a full list of table of contents. I made is as easy as possible for the case worker to review the application package. Every sin...

Re: Two Biometric Letters have been posted

Oh no, I received 2 letters today, both sent on separate dates and separate envelopes: one saying that the case will be processed within 8 weeks and the other saying although the cases are normally processed within 8 weeks time, it won't be possible in my case due to further checks. :( I don't have ...

Re: Two Biometric Letters have been posted

thanks Aadiji. Does the fact that I didn't get the letter with the 8 week wording necessarily mean that my case is going to take longer? it is possible that i may take less than 8 weeks. I guess I'll wait and see. But I've noticed a lot of people who make fresh applications get approval within 3-4 w...

Sending application in a binder

Hello,

I'm planning to send out my application tomorrow. All my documents are in pockets in a 2-ring binder. Do you think this will be acceptable by the UKBA? I can't find any mention in the guidance against this, but I thought'd I'd check with the gurus :)

Thanks.

How to answer "Is the money available to your business.

Hi everyone, I'm now filling out the application. I have no idea whether the answer for the application question is section G4 is Yes or No. Here is the question: "Is the money available to your business rather than to you by name?" It is available to me because it is in my personal chequing account...

Company Registration more than 3 months

Hello gurus,

If my company has been registered for more than 3 months at the date of application, will UKBA have an issue with this? I'm finding conflicting information about this.

Just FYI I'm making the switch from PSW to Tier 1 Entrepreneur.

Thanks in advance!

That's great Wazobia, I will definitely be using the contract from the recruitment company. Thanks for your reply. A few more questions: How long was your company active? Did you register for it more than 3 months before applying? I thought you had to be registered within the three month period. Tha...

Hi Wazobia, I'm also planning to use a contract I got through a recruitment company. It's a 1 year contract. Do you think it is ok to show as part of my application? I also have another contract which is direct through a company. I don't know why, but I'm not sure how the UKBA would feel about using...
