well done andywhite. Having won 3 out of 3 tribunal appeals without needing a lawyer, I can see you have come across a w* of an ECO, there of plenty of them that shouldn't be employed, but it's like of you who is a victim of their incompetence losing out on £40K+ but I'm sure they are happy to place...

he may have to have the £35000 savings in a bank account for 6 months though. Best to consult the rules.

if that is his savings in a bank account, then £35000 == £7600 salary (35000 - 16000)/2.5 so adding that to £13000 gives more than £18600 so it seems to qualify for a spouse only with no dependent visa.
