If you are making a postal application then you can send it to London as well.

With current trend it takes around 40 days for status to change from Date of Acknowledgement to Processed and then around 10 days from Processed to Dispatched from Delhi. I guess no-one would like to take risk, I would personally not, If you have a time then I would suggest to surrender your Indian passport and get a tourist visa.

hi redjet,

It did not require to submit all the pages of British passport, when I applied I submit the first 2 pages and the last page (mainly photo page is required) and I got my SC without any issues.

In-person applications take 6 weeks as per their timeline so getting any reply before that is very difficult infact even after 6 week is not guaranteed . I would suggest to apply for tourist visa if you don't want to change your plans to visit India. Its simple process and you will get visa in 5 days.
