Did you apply for a name change, or just for a replacement of a lost card?

I'm quite concerned about these timelines for getting a name change on the BRP. In fact my husband is now saying I shouldn't bother to change the name, if it means I have to send my passport to UKBA for 6-8 weeks. It seems that the people who lost their BRP have faster service than the name change. ...

I just got my ILR last week and my passport expires in April. So I don't think it's a problem.

This seems totally discriminatory against women who I imagine make up the largest number of people requesting a name change. It will take my government 4 weeks to issue the new passport, then I may have another few months to get my name changed? Is anyone aware of what my friend says working? I know...

BRP name change question

I just got my ILR and BRP on my birth name. I am recently married but my passport expires in spring 2014 so I am planning to get a married name put on my new passport. My visa was expiring ahead of the passport renewal so I was advised to go for ILR first and deal with the name change down the line....

I had a work permit 2007-2009, was made redundant so switched to Tier 1. Because of the dates I ended up having to renew my Tier 1 for the 2 year extension 4 months before I would have qualified for ILR. So my ILR application is quite late in comparison; my Tier 1 still has 4 months on it. I only ha...

ILR Approved Croydon PEO

I got my ILR approved at Croydon. Things have significantly improved since last time. I arrived at 8:50 for a 9 AM appointment - traffic, I was aiming to arrive at 8:30 - and was out at 11:45. Last time I was there from 9 AM until closing, and didn't even get a decision on the day! Went from Tier 1 ...

I should also clarify - I had already submitted the application to the immigration consultant and she was in the process of booking my PEO appointment, at the time I got the new passport. So the application was true at the time I filled it out, but circumstances changed between then and the date of ...

Dual nationality problem

I am applying for ILR from Tier 1 (General) after one extension. I am a US citizen by birth. Shortly before submitting my last extension I got a passport for the country where my parents originally are from and have recently moved back to. Visas are painful to get and so because I have heritage it w...
