Re: Naturalisation application processing timelines (only)

Does anyone have experience with booking ceremony at tower hamlets? I tried to contact them and the phone has been a nightmare. Any advice appreciated! Haven't applied for ceremony as still waiting for approval. However their lines are often busy before lunch time. Try calling them after lunch time...

Re: Naturalisation application processing timelines (only)

I have been wondering why the HO wouldn't add a couple of pounds to the fees and use First Class postage instead of the painfully slow Second Class. It's quite important to us and I'm sure everyone would be very happy to pay the extra £2 or so rather than waiting for an extra week for the yellow env...

Re: Naturalisation application processing timelines (only)

So I noticed that some cases receive the approval without an acknowledgement. Is this common?

AN Form Questions - Dates/Details of Absences

Hello, I've booked my NCS appointment on 9 Feb and now filling the AN form. I have 2 questions: 1. On page 8 where we should fill the dates of absences, the space is too small to list all my trips. I understand that we can continue on page 15 but I'm worried it will look messy. Can I make a separate...

Gibraltar - Schengen Visa Question/Problem?

Hi there, I have an Egyptian passport with a valid Schengen visa & a UK Indefinite leave to remain. I flew into Gibraltar to spend a couple of days with my friend who lives on the Spanish side and flew out of Malaga. The immigration at Gib checked both my UK & Schengen visas and stamped my passport ...

Re: ILR Success - 29 Jan 2014

Hi There,

It was easier and cheaper for me to go to Trinity College and get the required English level exam rather than prove that my degree was taught in English, just check their website or give them a call.

I hope this helps.

Good luck!

If you didn't have a police certificate already don't worry about it, you are not required to have one then.

I will post the employer letter template I used tomorrow.

Re: BRP Card - Forwarded to Caseworker??

Can I just ask you if you heard from the caseworker after you got that reply from the BRP Delivery team?
I am in the same situation now and want to know how long it take the case worker to get back to you.
Thanks in advance.

BRP Delivery Issue - Any Advice?

I had my appointment on 29th January and my ILR was approved on the day. I was told it will be delivered to me within the next 7 business days. I was asked if I want it delivered to my home address, which was already on the application and I said I prefer to have it delivered to my work address to g...

Re: ILR Success - 29 Jan 2014

Thanks :)

I provided all my PS60 but not sure it was 'required', I put them as a support.
I provided all my absences and you can't be unemployed if you're under Tier 2 so luckily I had a job since I came to the UK!

Good luck :)

Re: ILR Success - 29 Jan 2014

Thanks! Yes, some nationalities, including mine require to register with the police as soon as they enter the country on their work visa, and should register their address with the police any time they move. It was required to submit this certificate with your ILR application (IF) you were issued on...

ILR Success - 29 Jan 2014

Thanks to this really helpful forum, you guys answered plenty of my questions. I am so glad I didn't have to use an immigration lawyer and saved a lot of money! I was on a work permit then Tier 2 ICT. My ILR was granted today without any issues. It took me about 2 hours in total including the biomet...

According to my experience, 6 weeks in advance are the earliest. So I think you can book appointments up to mid February now, cause it will be 6 weeks from now.

Hope that helps.

UK Absences Letter - Question

I am currently on Tier 2 ICT and applying for my ILR in January. My employer provided me with the letter and only agreed to sign my work trips. However, my personal trips are much more. Their reason is how do we confirm you been to where you claim you had been... The question is, does my employer ne...
