Canada visit Visa Sponsor - Elderly Parent

Hi All, I am looking to apply for a visit visa for my mother. My father can't join her on their visit to Canada due to their business commitments. Both of my parents live at the same address and my mother is financially dependent on my father, who is managing the house expenses and etc. However, he ...

Re: Visit visa for parents with previous ADR refusal

Ticktack, thanks very much once again for your reply. I genuinely respect your positive mindset as you said that you are one of those who don't give up! at least, now I have a clear direction i.e. apply for my father's visitor's visa and provide evidence to demonstrate that he will be returning back...

Re: Visit visa for parents with previous ADR refusal

Thanks very much, Ticktack for a quick and helpful response that gives some hope. I have always been under the impression that if ADR is refused then no matter what I do, I can't get their visit visa. But what I am gathering from your responses is that as long as it can be evidenced that the situati...

Re: ILR SET (M) - 5 Year Qualifying Period

Thanks very much for the quick and clear response, Casa!

SO in my case, it will be 08/08/2017 (Date entered in the UK) minus 28 - This gives 10/07/2022

It is much appreciated as otherwise I was looking to apply this weekend assuming the eligibility from the date of issuance of BRP1

Kind regards,

Re: Visit Visa after Settlement Rejected

As a UK passport holder, I believe I can go there for a visit and do hope to get a job in the industry I already work in. In fact I can only migrate there once they give me a job offer through the online applications

Re: Visit Visa after Settlement Rejected

Much respect for your views, Zerubbabel, They do make sense and I will certainly take them in consideration. If I migrate to Canada and invite them to visit me there then I don't think I need to mention about UK ADR visa but yes for Ireland I will. However for Ireland, if I take a Suinder SIngh rout...

Re: Visit Visa after Settlement Rejected

Hi THO, Thanks for the comment. People here on this forum are expert and I believe based on their experience they rightly believe that there is no chance to get another visitor visa. But I do understand that there can be exceptions so I take your point too. I wish there was one case where somebody c...

Re: Visit Visa after Settlement Rejected

thanks again, Zerubbabel for sharing your honest opinion.

Re: Visit Visa after Settlement Rejected

My question now is that what if they both apply together and give evidence that they can look after each other and can get back because the care will be available? However, I believe that no matter how you put your application, the refusal is a certainty. Hi All, Since I am posting another comment,...

There is NO absence limit for spouse visa holders!!!
Interesting! Thanks for letting me know about this!

so,as long as they can prove cohabitation, visa validity/extensions, finances and etc, it does not matter even if they travel abroad for even 6 months in an year.

thanks again!

Re: FLR - Online Appication ( First Extension)

Thanks very much geoeng once again, I think you’ve summed it all up very nicely in your following statement The only way issues arise is if one entered the UK with less than 30 months remaining on the initial visa (or didn't accurately consider the remaining leave that would be added to an extension...

Thank you, geoeng, I’ve tried to be very specific in the earlier post but would now re-iterate my point here On the point of EC, Yes, it is granted for 33 months but what if the person has entered the country already 2 months late then does it not make more sense that they apply it when they’ve comp...
