Re: eu treaty rights : sister

A few different scenarios here: Firstly your sister cannot enter Ireland under Metcock/EU Treaty Rights. It applies to a spouse or your kids only. it doesn't apply to your sister, aunt, grant parents etc Your sisters permission in the UK is not as your dependent but as an Asylum seeker. To enter Ire...

Re: Any EU spouse travelled to UK from Ireland wthout Visa??

Remember each EU country has its own immigration law so do not be foolish to assume each country has the same laws, in most cases this is correct however The UK DO NOT have the same reading as the Irish with regards to EU Treaty Rights. It is extremely advisable to contact the UKBA and tell them you...

Re:

Hi Bruein, You could not legally pay tax as a self employed person in Ireland, unless you had a work permit or relevant stamp that gives you permission to work in Ireland, as you are a non-EU citizen. The tax office never seems to check to see if you have a right to work in Ireland, their job is to...

I have just read this post and noticed you received A LOT of wrong info. Firstly the person called NOBODYSPERFECT. He/She said ..... " If you do not apply for the residence card within the 90 days you will still have the rights to work and live in Ireland however your employer would want you to get ...

There seems to be serious confusion about EU TREATY RIGHTS. It applies to the EU Citizens (i) spouse (ii) partner (iii) children of both sides who are under 18 It doesn't apply to THE PARENTS of the the non eu or eu citizen. If the parents what to reside as dependents you must apply for a dependent ...

Your mother must show she will not remain in Ireland and will not become a burden upon Ireland. This also applied to your brother. find out exactly why she was ...

For the first 3 months you can (in theory) work without any documentation. In practice you will have to find an employer who accepts this which will probably be the case for lower skilled jobs but more challenging with more qualified ones. Once 3 months have passed you will be required to hold a re...

You need to check if you need an Irish re entry visa if so you will need one before you leave Irleand. You then need to check if you need a visa to enter the other EU country and if so you should then get one. This will be difficult because you need 3 months left on you GNIB card from the date you t...

a C visa is a short term and a D is long term. visas also state the purpose for trave such as RESIDE, VISIT, EMPLOYMENT, etc It is strange that a C would be issued for a person to live in Ireland so the embassy or visa office may have made a mistake. It is very very VERY unlikely that the immigratio...
