No, you can't apply for ILE to settle in the UK and then not use the visa for 25 months. In any event, as you may already have been advised, ILR is due to be abolished shortly, so being granted a permanent visa and British Citizenship a few years later will be far more difficult than you may at pres...

If she has only just got her permit, she will lose the right to remain here if you marry someone else.

If you aren't currently living in the UK with your wife, you won't be applying for ILR. Where is your wife at present? If you have been married for more than 4 years and living together for the whole of that time outside of the UK then you could apply for Indefinate Leave to Enter in Dubai and then ...

Don't send it by courier. If you send it by Royal Mail special delivery the HO will take the posting date as proof of application. The envelope will be kept in your wife's file. Courier delivery doesn't have the same evidence of dispatch.

Don't know what Wanderer thinks, but as she doesn't have a valid visa, I believe the quickest option would be to return to Pakistan and apply for an Unmarried Partner Visa from there....or marry on a COA and apply for a spouse visa from Pakistan. In order for the UPV to be successful you'll need doc...

You don't need to take the KOL test again. Without a cystal ball it would be difficult to tell you how long your application would take to process.
However, with the concessions now in place regarding the new regulations, you won't be affected by the changes.

You won't be free to work without restriction on your student visa until you've actually been granted FLR(M). If you're applying in person you will have to submit your student records to show that you have been attending your course as per the conditions of your student visa.

Although I believe the Home Office can appeal against the verdict.

It won't be a problem. As long as you can show that you are able to support yourselves financially, the fact that you are only working part-time won't affect your application. The instruction to checking officers is not to refuse a spouse ILR application purely for financial reasons. They will be fa...
