Re: Eligibility for ILR

Hello friends, I got my ILR approved at same day appointment at Croydon last week on Friday. Obviously I was a little worried when I went through the forums about rejections. I think if its a Tier 1 General to ILR without contracting its a very very simple case. I was out in around 1 hour 20 minutes...

Re: Missing P60s for ILR -Tier 2 General

Emplyoment history can also be used in case you have lost\misplaced your P60's. I have been told that you cant get it if you are requesting for more than 3 years old. Even HMRC does not keep details beyond that I think. Best would be to call and check. For p60 with similar cases, Please refer to ind...

Re: British Passport for Child born in UK.

CR001, Yes true, it would be the passport authorities in India.

I would think the British passport would be stamped on exit from India during the immigration.

Is this all possible and perfectly legal to do so? Any ideas who I can call and inquire?

Really confused at the moment. Please advise.

Re: British Passport for Child born in UK.

@ouflak1, what if 1.) I first apply for his Indian passport and hopefully get it in a couple of weeks. 2.) I also apply through NCS at the council so that I can apply for his citizenship and passport at the same time. 3.) I leave the UK and go for the travel plans. 4.) Once i get the confirmation of...

Re: British Passport for Child born in UK.

@pupulu , to clarify I have not yet taken any passport for my child. He was born last year and since we were not travelling I thought to apply for his British passport after my ILR.

Re: Life in the UK test - preperation

I passed my test 20 days back. I studied the book just once. To be honest left some parts of it in between. I would recommend you read it at least once. Its good to learn the first few chapters about history and invasions. It helps you understand the dates and kings. After that its very simply actua...

British Passport for Child born in UK.

Hello Moderators and Gurus, I have a peculiar query and tried to find information on it but couldnt find much online, so here it is. 1) I have applied for PEO - ILR in month of May (Tier 1 General - 5 year route) 2) I have a child born in UK. I plan to apply through NCS at the council so that I can ...

Re: English Language Requirements - ILR

Apologies. I found that C1 is above B1 level so I am good on that. That should not be a problem. Should have searched online before posting this question.

More details: weblink removed

However pls advise on the bit for SET(O) payment details page.

Re: English Language Requirements - ILR

One more question is when you take the printout of SET(O), it automatically prints the payment details page. This has details of the bank debit card, account number and amount to be deducted. In case of a PEO, I think this page would not be required? Probably need to take the printout of the payment...

English Language Requirements - ILR

Hello All, I was reading the SET(O) guidance notes and came across this point: In order to qualify for indefinite leave to remain, all applicants aged 18-64 must meet the two parts of the Knowledge of Language and Life requirement by: - passing the Life in the UK test, And one of the following langu...

Biometric after ILR.

Hello Respected Gurus and fellow members,

Can someone tell me from their experience and the forum members experiences that how long does it take for the biometric to arrive once the ILR is done in PEO appointment? How many working days does it usually take to arrive?

Thanks in advance!

Re: TIer 1 G to ILR - Document Checklist

Thanks for your reply Sal. I agree the P60 is something they havent listed in their requirements. However I will keep it handy just in case they ask for it. Also if you have a PEO appointment do you need a cover letter to explain the documents as the case worker will let you go for a couple of hours...

Re: TIer 1 G to ILR - Document Checklist

The question is do we need a P60 for this route? Can HO ask for documents like these during PEO even though these are not required or mentioned on the HO website?

Re: TIer 1 G to ILR - Document Checklist

I have heard conflicting information regarding P60's for Tier 1 General ( 5 years) to ILR Is a P60 for all 5 years required or not? What if you are not able to find for a particular year? Can you use the Annual tax summary for that year? Any help would be appreciated. Also if you have a PEO appointm...

Re: TIer 1 G to ILR - Document Checklist

My 5 cents to the list. 1) last 12 months payslips 2) last 12 months bank statements 3) P60 4) LIUK Test 5) English language requirements 6) Employee Reference letter from employer(s) 7) Letter about leaves and absence from UK This checklist is specific to Tier 1 General to ILR (5 year route), no co...

Re: ILR -- T1G , section 6.3

The helpline to get employment history from hmrc is 0135 5359022 ? Just need to ask for "employment history" correct? Thank you for the above links, I will take a look. A note about my time in the UK: I have always been employed for permanent roles. I have only had 2 employers, one in the past and one with which I am working now. I have been with the present company for last 3.5 years. The first one was 1.5 years. ...
