We’ll be staying with my in-laws till we get settled, so we are going to ask them to send a letter “To whom it may concern” saying that we are making arrangements to move there later in the year, and also one from my wife to say that that is our intention. That’ll have to do, I think! Sounds good t...

You may apply to change your status to the dependent spouse of an EU national. Your wife would have to show she was exercising treaty rights in the UK - i.e. employment or self employment. It would be better if she had a job when you apply for the EU national dependent status. However if this is not...

Job offers back in Canada or evidence of job hunting with relevant replies including invites to interview are usually a good indicator of someone intending to return to live Canada. You should apply for a spouse visa at the British Embassy in Manila via the CAVA (courier) system which involves submitting settlement form VAF 2 and all supporting documentation. An in country application outside the scope of the immigration rules would be on the most compassionate of grounds and I...

The new WP would be processed as a Tier 1 only if the job it relates to is similar to your current job. Otherwise it would be a Tier 2 application with appropriate requirement of proof of advertising. The ease of obtaining WP will depend on the new application being Tier 1 or if Tier 2 the submissio...

You can apply for HSMP EC within the validity of HSMP approval letter so it may be possible for you to request ECO to postdate HSMP EC to the last date of the HSMP approval letter. However the commencement of the validity of the HSMP EC cannot be beyond the last date of the HSMP approval letter. Not...

As for applying for EC, dont think it will be a problem, as I was given two years for the working holidaymaker visa.
