Thanks Mr Rusty for pointing out that this is not a matter of S E X for visa, something that resembles a scandal that marred the Home Office few years back. This is a professional violating all the ethical and moral codes attached to his profession. He used his position of trust to exploit a woman i...

The other option is going to another EU member state and applying for residency under the Chen ruling and returning to the UK after having spent sometime there. See topic 14.

It is a completely despicable act, and gross professional misconduct.

The matter should be reported to the Law society/ OISC, and hopefully this solicitor will be struck off and cease from these repugnant act.

That is if, of course the legal expert was involved in those abhorrent act.

Not sure if is that simple. I think you have to have a dependent visa of your partner if you wish to be included in their application Section 319E requirement C Absolutely correct f2k. He would need to apply for Dependant on tier 1 migrant visa and then put in the joint application for ILR. That cl...

Perhaps, this could be another cynical ploy aimed at reducing the number of people eligible for citizenship. Perhaps demanding that prospective citizens learn Gaelic, would essentially reduce the number of applications received and hence discourage prospective immigrant from coming to Ireland. What ...

Also, your Pakistani Marriage is recognised in the UK, or else he would not have been issued a spousal visa. I don't think it is necessary to register your wedding again. Most people i know don't need that. You can however have your documents deposited in the Foreign Registry Office, which can keep ...

Your wife has to fill in seperate AN form. The concept of dependency does not apply to naturalisation. Your application can attract a joint fee if it is submitted together, but it cannot be defined as a joint application. She has to meet the residency requirement like yourself, or else she will not ...

Your statement makes absolute sense. So long as you have been married to a British for 4 years and lived abroad together, you qualify for ILR immediately on entry subject to you passing the KOL. You don't need to have waited a year, you could have achieved it immediately on you arrival, after passin...

Kobrien, i think we need to leave the past where it belongs and focus on the future. What happened with the Czech is dead and buried, now your situation and circumstance has changed, you are now married to an EEA national, this changes the whole dynamics. Perhaps you should send them a copy of This and ask if it does or doesn't apply to Ireland. Request they provide a written letter to this effect, if they think Ireland is exempted from this judgment, if not they should issue a visa free of charge and as part of an accelerated process for him.
