Re: Citizenship Evidence upload

Haven't come across this problem before but perhaps taking a photograph of the form and load that? That may be better than scanning it?

Re: GHIC - Which name to use?

Not something governed by UK immigration rules, but in the event you have to seek medical help in an EU country you probably will be asked to show your passport, in addition to the GHIC card. Your other documents are unlikely to be accepted as ID. The NHS Issuing Office may also ask for a copy of yo...

Re: EU2 or WABC- British citizen EU treaty rights in Ireland post brexit

Can't really answer from the Irish perspective ... but as far as I know British citizens are covered by the Common Travel Area (CTA) provisions, they didn't have a need to exercise EU Treaty Rights, either before or after brexit. Certainly for naturalisation they need to satisfy the residency requir...

Re: *Penalty for late registration of property*

Civil penalties can be given for all kind as issues - as explained already they are not criminal offences, not even for late tax penalties. They are a fact of life, just like paying too little or too much tax at times. If you are evading tax that's a criminal offence and you are likely facing court ...

You can complain but unless it’s seriously damaged it’s unlikely they’ll pay to replace it.
Go to the complaints page on the HMPO website.
Complaints: https://www.gov.uk/government/organisat ... -procedure
Don't call - fill in the complaint form online!

Re: UK visa expires 31 May 2024, What is the latest UK entry date?

The visa needs to be valid for the whole stay - visa holder is expected to leave by the last valid date. As far as I know there's no "free" add-on.

Re: Skilled Woker Visa - Start of Employment Date

You can usually start working immediately after receiving your decision letter, but there are a few factors to consider. First, it is important to ensure that the decision letter confirms your status and permission to work in the country. Secondly, if you have an application for permanent residence...

Re: Passport expiry and Visa Validity

The statement you quoted relates to visitors only.
You are a resident and visa holder and your passport has to be valid on entry to the UK.
The fact it may expire the following week doesn't invalidate your visa.

They can and sometimes do ask for clarification or additional documents but unless you think there’s an issue I wouldn’t add additional docs.

A few questions about uploading documents supporting 5 years' residency: 1. Would 2 docs for each year be enough (P60s from employer plus student finance, for each year). I'm also adding letter from employer, landlord+tenancy agreement and confirmation of college course. I think that should be enou...

Re: Over 90 days in last 12 months, is there discretion?

After applying, when can you travel again without messing it up? Many thanks for the stream of kind replies You are free to travel after submitting application, but biometrics and ceremony need to be done in the UK. You are still an ILR holder with BRP until you are British - naturalisation isn't p...

What he needs to show is that he will leave the UK at the end of the visa. He’s young, a student, lives with parents, not much money, what are his ties to home country? Workshop aspect is not really relevant, parents pay the rent. From your post the entry officer will probably assume he might not re...

Re: Can someone travel to Pakistan with ILR and Pakistani ID card?

BRP card is not a travel document and carriers would not allow you to board without a valid passport (irrespective of your UK status), not even when exiting the UK. So can't travel as far as I know.

Re: Heard, that with the EU ppassport it will be easier to get a job in the EU

Who told you this??? You cannot get an EU passport before becoming a citizen of one of the 27 EU countries, citizenship normally requires a certain residency period before you can apply, around 5 years. to gain residency you need a visa, work or family reunion. The way you put this question sounds s...

I think, as per Sri Lankan law, if one of their citizen becomes citizen of a foreign country, they automatically renounce Sri Lankan citizens...

If there was no issue just declare it, with the relevant facts.
Write a covering note explaining concisely - sounds like an administrative issue, no criminality involved.
Can't imagine a case worker would delve into this.

You are a UK resident, hold full Settled Status?
Then you are free to conduct your business as you wish.
Not aware there are restrictions on EU nationals who are UK residents.

1. All BRPs expire end Dec 24. No issue.
2. If you are within the absence allowances no issue.
3. Travel is fine, it’s not an immigration application.
