Re: Settled status = dependency still?

If you hold full EUSS/ILR status then you are "free from Immigration time restrictions", that means you are free stay in the UK as long as you like without any further specific permissions, you are also independent of your original sponsor, you are no longer a dependent under immigration rules. You ...

The government took GPs off the referee professions list so they can concentrate more on their NHS duties ... about 12(?) years ago.

Re: Naturalise for non uk born under section 3 for Home Secretary consideration

There's no direct "registration", all requirements need to be complied with.
A child born outside UK needs ILR. What is other parent's UK immigration status?
Child can apply for ILR when other parent applies for ILR.

Re: Date of Spouse/family visa application submission, date of payment or Biometrics?

For all UK applications the application date is when you submit/pay online - the biometrics date is not relevant for this.
If you applied before the changes kick in the you should be under the old rules.

Re: Is a child of a British (by naturalization) citizen a British citizen?

I'm a British citizen (naturalised). My wife is from the Philippines and she is currently there pregnant. It seems like she will likely be giving birth on Philippines soil. Will my child be automatically a British Citizen when he/she is born abroad? If yes/no, What steps will be necessary for me to...

Re: online application submitted but do not know what to do next?

There's no requirement to send any paper documents. You may receive an acknowledgment - or you may not. Normally the next you hear is the approval, this could take up to 6 months, sometimes longer. UKVI do not sent any processing updates normally unless they need further details or documents. I assu...

Re: update wrong relationship in pre-settlement from durable partner to civil partner?

As you are due for settled status now/soon you should input the correct relationship status. Updating an old application is not done, if necessary you input the correct details in your new application. Best to contact the EUSS Resolution Centre: https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/eu-settlemen...

Re: ex wife threatining to contact HO & revoke BP

Don’t be drawn into a continuous slanging match. As previously advised report this to police. It’s up to the police/home office and courts to decide whether there was any criminality and whether there is evidence to prove this, and what consequences you/she might be facing. Appreciate it it is very ...

Not something we see here regularly. If you want this corrected then you need to explain all the circumstances, and answer every question. Attach documents which support your statement. Best not to pre-judge how your application might be viewed. Stick with the facts - on which a decision will be mad...

I doubt a border official (or border system) can just change resident status to visitor status.
In any case son has the evidence in his passport, stamp and BRP#.
Don't think there's an issue.

Were you ever asked to pay IHS for child? If not then child wasn't liable to pay IHS.
It's a compulsory charge for visa applicants - you can't pay it voluntarily. Others may be able to point to a rule, if there's one.

Re: health surcharge for mn1

There's no requirement for MN1 to have any kind of "health surcharge", I believe you mean IHS - that's only for visa holders. You will need to arrange a private insurance policy for your child until she has been registered as British, this is not part of IHS or mandated for MN1 or for nationality ap...

And IHS term cannot be chosen, it’s due for the term of the visa, which of course is not required for a UK born child.
