Re: WORK OVER THE PAST 10 YEARS

Provide as much detail as possible, estimated dates or month/year should be fine. The requirement is for the 10 years. HMRC seem to have only records going back five years but you can try and contact them for the data they have.

Just list your employment covering the last 10 years, irrespective of which visa you had at the time.

Re: please guide about this qustion

It's the application where you had to demonstrate English last - either ILR or T2.

Re: Confusing question in AN form

Certainly a good sign they are taking the money! From reading postings here I understand applicants normally get an email acknowledgement quoting your personal case ID (unless it's already on the payment confirmation). So hopefully that should arrive soon - there have been cases where no email was r...

Re: Question about employment on AN form

Shall I say that my previous employment was as a director from 09.03.2020 and 17.04.2020 with the employer name of my own limited company (instead of the company I worked for) and that my current employment status is unemployed? You are still "employed" by your company, irrespective of whether you ...

Re: UKVCAS Uploading documents for Form AN

If the instructions say "PDF preferred" ideally you should provide PDF, however the wording leaves it open as to which format you use. As JPG is a well known format I assume that can be used, unless there are further instructions as to what is or isn't accepted.

Re: Confusing question in AN form

From your various postings it's clear you don't have a complex immigration history. The questions you are highlighting are connected with complexity. As you say you are fulfilling the requirements. Your application will not be rejected purely on some detail you may have got wrong. UKVI also contacts...

Re: Current employment situation

I guess it’s a very tricky question as such situation never occurred before. But still unsure if I write now employment or no employment into my application this weekend. If anyone knows until then would be very appreciated. Agreed this is not something common - if you have a contract with original...

Re: Citizenship Enquiry

First you need to get naturalised, after that you can apply for a British Passport . Once your wife has received her ILR card she can apply immediately for her own naturalisation providing she complies with all the requirements, such as residency, absences and good character. There is no "one month"...

Re: Council Tax

The statement "due to court proceedings" presumably is the amount you have agreed to pay to clear down your overdues. You may have already seen the guidance on good character (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/good-character-nationality-policy-guidance) - this is the para re. Council Tax: "...

Re: Council Tax

It's not really an issue per se, unless you have been taken to court and had CCJs. Having arrangements if you had difficulties and complied with the obligations is not an issue. By all means mention this separately but should not have any impact.

Re: Residence requirement for British Citizenship (Naturalisation) application

Application date is the day you submitted/paid online - and that's the date five years back when you should have been in the UK. The date of acknowledgement is just that. As you were present on that date there is no issue.

Re: EEA settlement before 5 years of marriage

Just wanted to know if Home office has relaxed any laws/Rules around EU settlement scheme.
There has been no relaxation of rules or laws relating to EU settlement schemes - you have to complete the full period before applying.

Re: Naturalization due in oct 2020 but away from uk more than 90 days due to Covid -19

ILR is normally invalidated by being away for two years - as you say nobody knows how long it will take but hopefully not that long.

Re: Naturalization due in oct 2020 but away from uk more than 90 days due to Covid -19

I doubt whether for naturalisation there will be any allowance - it's not an immigration application where strict timelines need to be observed. Easiest would be just to wait a few months until you are back to around the 90 days requirement - you don't have to apply in Oct 2020.

Re: Citizenship form help

The paper form is mainly for applicants who are based in Crown Dependencies (Isle of Man, Channel Islands, e.g.) who submit these to the their local government. Applications within the UK, naturalisation, ILR, etc are all online now. And it's easier because you just scan and upload your documents in...
