Re: BC online application - Out of UK stamp missing

I think/guess that the UK entry stamps are the important ones - which country (and missing stamps) you went to should have no bearing on your application. As you have all the UK once should be no issue.

Re: Does claiming benefits affect future citizenship application?

You are allowed - and you were allowed even before PR - benefits don't count against you if you were entitled to them.

Re: Form T - Good Character query

Perhaps the guidance to case workers might give some insight (if not already seen): https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/good-character-nationality-policy-guidance Applications are individual and I think you should (would) not be judged by anything in your family history, unless you were actua...

Re: British Passport delay

My mon has also had to send her passports together with the naturalisation certificate in March, and we are wondering if they will send the passports together with the British Passport, or will they send it separately?? What should we do in case we need the passports back? Does anyone has a number ...

Re: Proof of English & Overseas Marriage Certificate

So am I right to assume then the completion of a graduate certificate at Birkbeck, which was completed in London and therefore in English, and issued by the University of London won't meet the requirement? As stated by @CR001 - it won't. The European marriage certificate is in Portuguese and all/mo...

Re: Application with different passport than for life in the UK test - is this a problem?

1. Does that mean that I do not need a permanent residence card and the information on the online form is wrong? You have Settled Status, so PR card is not required - you need to select the correct option in the application. 2. I am confused, the online form says that I need to provide the original...

Re: Previous UK immigration applications in the UK or abroad?

Note the wording "Enter your reference number if known" - so you could leave it blank or use any number you have available - in your case it makes sense to use the seven digit number as it's been used throughout.

Borders closed, lock downs, etc - we have seen of lot of this lately around the world.

Scanning of passports is always allowed.

Re: Holidays after the Biometrics

IF you can do biometrics before that date, yes you can travel - subject of course to travel restrictions, such as potentially cancelled flights, immigration & quarantine restrictions, etc, both here and elsewhere.

Re: Previous UK immigration applications in the UK or abroad?

I have another question please. I am applying for Naturalisation application and I have 4 passports in total, 2 of which cover the last 5 year period but I am in UK since 2009 (when I first arrived). On UKVCAS website (Sopra Steria) do I need to scan biometrics page of all 4 passports or just 2 pas...

Re: Previous UK immigration applications in the UK or abroad?

Thanks for this - still looks like your name that's required - I expect the reference number will point them to the category (if you got the number). Haven't seen any reports here that anyone has been refused because the data was incorrect or incomplete. Main thing is to give as much data as you can...

Re: Previous UK immigration applications in the UK or abroad?

We don't have sight of the online input screens - however, the wording "Name in which you made the application" tells me it's my name that's asked for, doesn't say visa or immigration category. Is there a separate question about which category you applied for, or is there a help screen? Remember tha...

This would be your name at the time of application (names can change over the years), not the "category".

Re: british citizen in hong kong

So essentially he could arrive at the UK border and will be admitted. But he will not immediately be entitled to benefits.
Refer to this link on the habitual residence test: https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/benef ... -benefits/

Re: british citizen in hong kong

As a British citizen he is free to enter the UK - he has a British passport.
He will need to pass a "habitual residence test" before any benefits may be available (applies to Brit. citizens as well as migrants).

Re: Stuck in India, can I get UK GOVT HELP FOR EVACUATION?

What is the definition of "diplomatic help"? In my mind certainly, if you are imprisoned, especially where human rights are concerned. However, if you have been robbed of your British passport, cards and cash? Would the embassy just say you are a dual citizen, not our problem? And the unfortunate Br...
