Re: Enrolling biometrics of a minor

What you can do is let the child sit over your neck and holding his/her hands. Enter the booth and all you need to do is kneel down or squart for him/her to level up with the camera. That is what my cousin did for his 21 months old son. If you expect him to be in the booth by himsefl/herself, it won...

Re: Child's Passport application going through standard checks

You see! That confirmed what I said earlier. Laziness on the part of the case worker. Isn't triggeriing passport issuance part of the checklist they use in determining peoples' application? They forgot indeed! Only God knows how many people they have forgotten to treat their applications. Welldone m...

Re: Child's Passport application going through standard checks

Why kind of checks? Obviously- they need to check ID, that the person making the application is the same person as the person referred to on the documents. They need to verify that the applicant is a British citizen, or British national, as the case may be. There are other checks which vary case by...

Re: Good Character Req for UK Naturalisation Application.

Declare your CCJ and the FPN for driving without licence. These 2 records are there in your name. Not declaring them will have negative effect on your application. If you pay the parking fines on time and there is no enforcement involved, you dont need to worry your head about them. Yes, you can app...

Re: Correction

Plaistow is in London. What did you fill on the passport form and MN1 form? If it is their mistake, you can have the passport corrected at no fee. Just fill the passport form and include the issued passport with it and send it off to the Passport office. They will correct the mistake. But if the mis...

Re: 2 penality charge notices in 2 months in last 12 months

What you have is Penalty Charge Notice and not Fixed Penalty Notices. As I pointed out earlier, HM Courts keep records of all FPN and not PCN. HO will contact Police and HM Courts to check if they hold any records for you regarding FPN and not PCN.

Relax your mind.

Re: 2 penality charge notices in 2 months in last 12 months

The truth is there is no records of these PCNs against you so to say as long as they are paid and they did not result in court enforcement. Anybody could have driven your car and the PCN sent to you as the registered keeper and that person that drove the car paid the PCN. There is not admission of g...

Re: 6 points on driving license - advise needed!

You have not done any mistake by submitting your license history, infact you are doing yourself more good as this counts towards honesty on your part. Dont panic, as long as you paid the FPN and there was no court involved, you are fine. Only if you got the 2 FPNs in the last 12 months prior to your...

Re: Refusal risks

It does not make sense applying knowing fully well you will be rejected. Just wait till after 12 months then you can apply. This wont look good on your history as the Case worker will feel definitely you do not want to be in the UK after you gain citizenship or there is a motive for you want to appl...

Re: British child passport renew application on hold: middle name problem

You are creating confusion for your daughter later in future. Please leave setiments of your wife's surname to be compounded with your surname. You got the Britisich passport for her without the compound name, you also registered her birth without the compound name; why then are you doing that for h...

Re: British child passport renew application on hold: middle name problem

In my own opinion, I think you should approach the Brazilian embassy and correct this mistake. They should re arrange her names properly and issue a new brazilian passport. Home office is actually helping you here, because your daughter has two identities as it stands and not good for her.

Re: Are my children British

Nope, I applied for their first passports because they were born here and have lived for more than 7 years continuously in the UK. Then All I had was just Tier 1 General as my ILR was still being dealt with as at the time I received the letter from HO asking me to apply for their passports.

Re: Are my children British

There is no argument on this at all. They are British already. Apply for their passports straightaway. No need to register them at all. My personal experience:: My two children were born in the UK even when all I had was just a visitor's visa. When I applied for ILR in October 2011, I includd them o...

Re: Strange Letter from UKBA

If I were UKVI, I will refuse the application too. The hard truth. You cant use Certificate of naturalisation as a proof of ID. A proof of ID must have your picture and a proof of address will have your address. You have only provided proof of address and not proof of ID.

Dont worry your head much. Just declare it and explain what happened. That will also show your integrity to the HO even though they wont find the record. If I were you, I will declare it on the application and give details of how the police called to inform you of the dissolution.
