Re: Children naturalization application

Hey, Very sad news that such things could even happen. Do you have any communication from them regarding your child’s application acceptance? I mean the receipt and acknowledgment letter with the application number... Try to request the FOI review with attached evidence that the application was acc...

Thanks Ali112. Do you know the email address of the office of the Taoiseach? Also, do you think the citizenship will feel offended that applicant reported them to their colleagues, and don't you feel that the citizenship might punish such applicant by delaying the applicant's citizenship applicatio...

Re: Citizenship delays: FOI and an application for an Order for Mandamus via the High Courts

They have a lot of FOIs to deal with. They quote everyone with a date, and then miss the date. It's routine. Just follow up by email, so your FOI doesn't fall through the cracks. Expect to wait another 4 weeks to get it. Last month I made a request FOI on citizenship file and they wrote in their ac...

Re: Children naturalization application

Yes Andy email her but same time do email to your local TD and also a TD in a opposition party. They seems taking way too long for minor application treating them like adult is totally unfair and unjust ! I wouldn’t be surprised they might be checking criminals record for minors as they are brainle...

Re: Citizenship delays: FOI and an application for an Order for Mandamus via the High Courts

The FOI is made with the DOJ In the form you ask for: all pertaining information and documentation held on the citizenship application, and provide them with the application # You don't need to separately ask for GNIB records nor contact that office, if this is for a citizenship application. The DO...

Re: Citizenship delays: FOI and an application for an Order for Mandamus via the High Courts

Sadly it seems like (i suspect) why the department have been saying they are prioritizing the cases waiting for 2 years or more --- there are so many people going via JR, it's become costly for them, and sadly it seems to be the way to secure a decision. The JR proceedings are apparently clearing u...

Re: Citizenship delays: FOI and an application for an Order for Mandamus via the High Courts

When did you apply?
I have asked my solicitor to proceed with JR yesterday
I mean when did you apply for citizenship?
He said 18 months no action through FOI, and I think the minimum time is 2 years until you can apply for JR,
Ok. Now I understand.
