Why don't you wait and simply apply for ILR together between Oct 2012 and Feb 2013? I have to travel for more than two months expected by Oct-Nov (or sometimes earlier) for giving training to my off-shore team. So was thinking to apply and make things complete before the training starts. Also there...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-16372717 "We've limited non-EU workers coming to the UK, overhauled the student visa system and will shortly announce reforms of the family migration and settlement routes. The only confusing thing is they haven't announced any changes yet. Normally they do in Nov/Dec fo...

Hurdle after hurdle !!

Can't comment on these until the rules are out.
Some things which I noted were
1. The consultation document mentions Tier1 of Entrepreneurs, highly talented etc only (4.3) onwards and not of normal Tier1 existing people

Did UKBA release the outcome of this consultation?

Various Immigration Options

Hi friends, This is for cousin, who was looking for various country options to work/migrate. I advised him of few options in preference 1. Australia 2. New Zealand (Seems very time consuming) 3. I feel, they are making things more clear The categorisation of Temporary and Permanent is more positive i Believe and flexible in long run. They could even add Tier1 General in future with Temporary status when skills are shortage. Don't know how it will be!! I still not sure how they can attract s...

I really wonder how they do all these so systematic and fast !! We need to really see what's their plan in breaking settlement w.r.t to existing Visa category. 1. The worrying thing is "require those who fail to meet the English- language level to leave the country" .. is it single chance? I feel bu...

dont be discouraged mate

I feel you shouldn't be discouraged. 5000GBP shouldn't be a problem to earn in partime.
You could work partime or try doing freelancing. You have time till Oct11
But please keep all paperwork..

All the best

I got this on several occasions; Here's what works: 1. In order to qualify for a "multientry" visa, when applying bring 3 ticket reservations spaced across 6 month; It also worked for me with 2 ticket reservations, but then they may give you a "two times entry" visa instead of multi, which means yo...

I've seen somewhere that those who fail life in the UK test will not be eligible for ILR.. not even second chance. Is that valid for existing Tier1/WP people? If you read it somewhere, share the source so people can decide what to make of such information without panic. I am pretty sure those rules...
