Re: I will not return my BRP within 5 Days.

This might be a stupid question, but why are people so adamant about keeping their BRP to travel when it has been superseded by Naturalistaion and the BRP card is no longer valid ? What's wrong with just using your original passport :?: Waiting to be shot down with some obvious answer now :) Correc...

Hi, Thank you for your responds. Please how can she meet the English requirements, As you mentioned, if Life in the UK is not needed for FLR (M). I hope she pass the test this time because we have already booked it. But if she doesn't pass the test, what do we do and how can this affects her applic...

Re: NCS Appointment

Regardless of whether the JCAPS is faster or not, 99.9% of people applying for citizenship will end of applying for a British passport. Its definitely quicker to combine both than to apply separately. Plus the benefit of not having to attend an interview for first time passport applicants as you nor...

Re: Esol B1 and nationality

No, you cannot use the ESOL again as of November 2015. However, the AN form does provide a provision that you have already demonstrated English requirement for ILR applied after 28 October 2013, so no need to demonstrate English again. Just tick the relevant box on form AN. More info here: http://ww...

Re: Academic IELTS test and AN Naturalisation Form 2016

Also, due to the nearest availability of the acceptable test for the naturalisation, which is 13 February, I wonder whether it would be ok to have dates of my two referees and my date with the signature on the AN form in January 2016 while I will pass my English test in February 2016 or does that m...

Re: Academic IELTS test and AN Naturalisation Form 2016

You cannot use a degree you are not in possesion of as you haven't finished your studies. You would need to complete your degree first, wait till you graduate, obtain the certificate, then use it to satify the English requirement.

Other only option is to do a test from the current SELT list.

Re: Academic IELTS test and AN Naturalisation Form 2016

Please read the FAQ here: http://www.immigrationboards.com/british-citizenship/faqs-english-language-requirements-for-naturalisation-t198118.html If the IELTS has not been used in a previous application (specifically the ILR applied AFTER 28 October 2013), then I'm afraid you will have to do a new t...

As mentioned, the price is going up to £1236. No doubt, there will be a new form to reflect the new price increase. Apart from that, its just watch and wait to see what other changes may come about.

Re: ILR since 2000. When exactly is the QP to for naturalisa

Hi. This SHOULD be clear from the Home Office (HO). But, alas, it is not. I have held Indefinite Leave to Remain since 2000. And am finally getting around to applying for UK citizenship. (I regret not doing it 10 years ago when it cost a third of what it costs now! ) I beleive the cost was a tenth ...

Re: English Language Requirement for Naturalisation

This provides some more info for those in the same situation: https://www.gov.uk/english-language/approved-english-language-qualifications The key point to note on the bottom of the page is: It doesn’t matter if the B1 level test you took isn’t on the list of recognised tests now. You don’t need to ...

Re: English Language Requirement for Naturalisation

In addition to WR1's advice, you might just get her to do another test. Some users have reported that they have been asked by HO (in writing) to provide proof of English test certificate. What are the HO intentions in asking for this. Do they just require confirmation if English was used in ILR (I ...

Re: English Language Requirement for Naturalisation

As Char as pointed out, you cannot use the ESOL again as of November 2015. However, what you can do is tick the box that says "English was satisfied for ILR after 28 October 2013" on the application form. What you are relying on is the fact that English was already satisfied for a previous applicati...

Re: Advice needed! Applied with A1 certificate instead of B1

I did not realise that I was required to upgrade my A1 English language test certuficate to B1 and mistakenly applied without sitting the test. I have just received a refusal letter and this was the only reason for refusal. I tried to book the test so that I could write to the caseworker with proof...

How about if someone return BRP via free post envelope which has no record and if the post lost then how and who is blamed for and whether in this case the BRP holder still be penalized with £1000. Does using recorded delivery is wise and whether the BRP holder will be so generous to return its BRP...

Can you not pay on credit card or arrange an overdraft? You have left it till the last minute with very limited options. Booking date has no relevance on your visa expiry, its the date of the PEO that is important and even more important, if you will succeed in obtaining ILR on the day (lets not ass...
