Is It Mandatory to carry old passports when travelling

Hi, Just a very quick question. I will be travelling with family to Pakistan in December for one month. I have one expired passport while my wife has two expired passports. Both of our expired passports have our initial entry clearance but now we both have BRPs. Is it mandatory to keep old expired p...

Re: Incorrect Title for Responsible Adult for Tier 2 Depende

You have done the right thing by contacting the e-mail address mentioned on the biometrics letter. They take days to respond. You do not worry if the time to enrol biometric lapse as UKVI send second reminder as well to enrol biometrics with an additional 15 days. Just keep chasing them. This will b...

Re: Overstayed, intending to leave UK voluntarily

Apologise, I missed that bit.

You are correct, according to the statement there, she only needs to show £18,600.

I will leave it to senior members to confirm.

Thanks,

Re: Overstayed, intending to leave UK voluntarily

Hi,

As she has other dependent children, therefore, income requirement should be higher than £18,600.

It should be £18,600 + £3,800 (for first child) + £2,400 (for each child after first child)

See link below:

Re: Tier 2 Visa - Have you even been refused a visa question

Hi,

You should declare that even it was more than 10 years ago.

The question has been changed since last year. They used to ask about last 10 years refusal now they ask for any refusals anytime.

Thanks,
Hassan

Re: Tier2 Dependant VISA for child newly born in UK

Another problem is there is nothing in immigration rules about this. This can only be found in the NHS guidance so pretty much everything confusing on this so far.

Re: Tier2 Dependant VISA for child newly born in UK

I have found a new draft guidance available here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/guidance-on-overseas-visitors-hospital-charging-regulations#history but the new guidance says that it will not be effective until 21st August. Not sure if the rules be applicable after 21st August. I would a...

so an update thus far - we still have not got a curtailment letter and send SAR request to Home office, hoping it might reveal the current status? would this provide clarity whether the curtailment letter was issues or not, and whether a person might be an overstayer? Re: Tier 2 Extension 30K Query

Hi, You are confusing things. If you are salary is lower than 30K then you will not be awarded points for Rate of Pay and hence will be a reason for refusal. Check paragraph 26.8 on page 111 in Tier 2 Policy Guidance. https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/616206/T...

Re: Tier 2 Extension 30K Query

So it will come down to less than 30K if less hours? Am I right? No 30K is the absolute minimum you should be getting paid at the time of extension. No matter how many number of hours you do. Extension Requirement is 30k or Minimum required for the respective SOC (whichever is higher). Thanks, Hassan

Hi,

35K is the minimum salary requirement of ILR and it has nothing to do with number of hours.

No, But they should be able to provide copies of those to HO upon request.

And obviously, they should be giving payslips to Employee.

Re: ILR and SOC code salary

The other question is; if they check my historical salary via P60 or Tax website and see I was earning lower will this cause an issue or 6 months payrise will be fine? Thanks.
This won't be issue as long as you are paid what is mentioned on your last COS.

Re: ILR and SOC code salary

It is just required to be matched a month before the ILR. You will have to submit one month payslip in order to prove that you meet the salary requirement. Please, bear in mind if the pay rise is too high and only done shortly before the ILR then your ILR application will be more scrutinized. Thanks...

Yes, as UKVI has also confirmed this to you. This should not have any effect on the prospective employee visa application.
