As ALL visas count towards long residence, you first entry to the UK will be your visit in March 2011. If you have a visa issued outside the UK, SAR does not show that. I suggest to ignore that detail as you must have a sticker which shows you had visa until 2012 Thank you for your response. You will note that I very clearly stated it is the 5 year ILR clock that gets reset and NOT the 10 year ILR clock.

For ILR based on 5 years, you need 5 years in one category of visa.
