Re: FLR FP - Additional Information Help Please !

It is a mandatory requirement to have a valid visa for the UK before the Pakistani embassy processes your application for a new passport. If you cannot provide proof of your status in the UK, you will be turned away.

The embassy staff are acting like immigration officers.

Re: Will Surinder singh route be available for next few year

I don't think we will see the end of Freedom of Movement in Britain if we decide to leave the EU. Brussels will simply impose the requirement on Britain as a condition in return for access to the EU market as it has done with Switzerland? If this is the case then David Cameron's idea of grabbing bac...

Re: Wages of illegal migrant to be seized under new plan

they can go self-employed and get paid cash in hand. You misunderstood because the new rule to seize such cash. I understood correctly. It's still perfectly possible to offer personal services and get away with it by being paid cash in hand. How will they catch such people? It's impossible to compl...

Re: Wages of illegal migrant to be seized under new plan

This rule is nothing new and has been in place for a while.

It still doesn't fully prevent an illegal migrant working illegally for example they can go self-employed and get paid cash in hand.

Re: Turkish visa for Pakistan passport holder

A friend of mine recently took his wife to Turkey and she had a Pakistani passport. They were able to get visa on arrival for 20 USD same price as a British passport holder. On the website they are charging 60 USD. You only get the visa at the reduced rate and on arrival if you can show that she res...

Re: Overstayer have Child with British Ctizen who z on Benef

You should have got married in a registered mosque which conducts Islamic marriages along with civil marriage.

If you had done this then there would be no need to fulfill the formality of a civil marriage.

Re: FLR FP and Judicial review

That is a standard acknowledgement reply you get when you email your MP.

When you've written the email follow it up with a phone call a few days later to make sure they've received your email. This will prompt them to act swiftly.

They will communicate with you via the post.

Good luck.

Hi Casa, As the UK denies a visit visa to spouses who are separated by the income threshold requirements can it be argued the non-EU spouse be allowed to travel with their spouse to the UK by invoking Article 5 of the EC directive? Re: Life in the UK test without Passport without ID

If you don't have a provisional license or an expired passport then the chances of taking the test are very remote. You could try asking HO to send your passport to a test centre for the purposes of sitting the test. If they agree you will need to have a photocopy of your passport so that you can us...

Hi Obie, I wasn't aware that you had already covered it nevertheless it is good news for those who wish to pursue the Singh route. I hope ECJ can do a similar ruling for non-eu spouse of British nationals who should in theory be allowed to travel in Europe without the need for a Schengen visa. If th...

80% of overseas immigration visa refusals are overturned

Regardless of which side of the immigration debate you sit on, no-one has much faith in the quality of decision-making in the system. New data from a Freedom of Information requests suggests that is a sound judgement to have come to. According to the government's own figures, a whopping 80% of entry...

Ask your solicitor to write HO retained passport on your refusal letter and sign it. You will then need a photocopy of your passport.

Do you have a provisional or full driving license?

If you married someone from outside Europe, you needed to be earning £18,600 a year. If they were bringin...
