Re: Visa for IRL (Ss) but no valid passport and expired UK v

Also be warned that the manual passport issued in the lost category by the Pakistani embassy in Dublin are valid for 1 year at the cost of €80. You will need to renew again once it expires if you plan to stay in Ireland for a year or when you return to the UK. Therefore you need to keep in mind that...

Re: Visa for IRL (Ss) but no valid passport and expired UK v

Unfortunately the Pakistani embassy in the UK are instructed by the Home Office not to issue a new passport or renewal if you do not have a valid visa even though they don't openly admit it. Therefore you will not be issued a passport renewal without a valid visa.

Did you receive an additional 3 months stamp i.e. Total 9 months stamp?
A decision on my wife's application is due in August but we received a registration letter stating the temp stamp will expire in November, 3 months after the decision due date.

Re: Temporary Stamp4 3 months additional to decision date

They are now issuing 3 months extra because they seem to be taking about 8 months to issue a decision on the 5 year card.

The delay is unlawful according to the directive.

Re: PPS for dependent parents

The letter does not need to be from PRTB.

All you need to do is ask your landlord to write you a letter asking for a PPS number to be issued in order for them to register your tenancy with PRTB Board.

Re: PPS for dependent parents

Landlords would also need a PPS number from tenants in order to register tenancy with PRTB.

A letter from the landlord would suffice.

Re: New EU deal: Free-movement rights gone?

MM income requirement case for sponsoring a Non-EU national spouse will be heard in the Supreme court from Monday 22-24 Feb. If the requirement is abolished or reduced to meet the requirement of the minimum wage then HO may not implement the changes on SS route since there would be no need to follow...

Re: New EU deal: Free-movement rights gone?

It's likely to be business as usual for those that have already moved to the host member state and have applied for their Article 10 residence cards. That is if transitional arrangements are in place.

We will have to see what happens in the coming months.

Re: Non-EEA spouses excluded from EEA-route under EU-UK deal

It will be interesting to see what happens when those who are currently doing the SS route, return to the UK after the new changes have been implemented. Will there be some sort of transitional arrangement? The commission has made it clear that changes won't take effect until the referendum provided...

It seems October 2016 is likely to be the date for the referendum given the fact that House of Lords has granted 16 and 17 year olds the chance to vote.

It seems to be a common problem with most Solicitors on the high street not knowing what they are doing and offering wrong advice.

Hi, "My research shows"? My research shows 70% of Pakistanis and Banglashis marry a foreign national and in far too often the girl them becomes litle more than a domestic slave for the mother in law. Well this is a very incorrect statement and deeply offensive. Men can equally suffer from domestic ...

Re: How likely/unlikely is the supreme Court in relation to

I don't think a fair balance has be struck between Article 8 and the income threshold. This is what the Supreme court will see to do and may find it violates our human rights.

I guess the Bibi judgement may give an indication of how the Supreme court will proceed in this case.

Re: Is UK Doing Enough to assist with the EU refugee crisis

It's down to the numbers. Theresa May is so obsessed and determined to meet the net migration target that she decided to renew it. The target includes refugees/asylum seekers so Imagine if they let in a huge influx of refugees the target will be missed by a huge margin by the end of this parliament....
