Re: Tier 1 Dependent -> FLR(M) -> SET(M) Help

I hadn't realised that I had switched from Tier 1 dependent to Spouse visa and applied for a SET(M) in April 2019 (as I thought I completed 5 years). I got a letter from the Home Office explaining that I hadn't completed 5 years under FLR(M). And had my visa extended until December 2020. Ur timelin...

Re: Settlement, Priority Service vs. Qualifying Period

I Still would like to get clarification on what is "the Date of Issue minus 28 days"? Do you mean the Date of Issue for my first Entry Clearance back on 18 Jan 2015? I am confused here. Yes. Date of visa issue = date of first entry clearance. Not the date on the BRP but the date on ur approval lett...

1. 21 December 2019
2. The date of issue minus 28 days or date the decision is taken.
3. HO is aware of the 28 day exception and will do the calculation accordingly.

Re: British passport online - referee's passport expired

Passport application counter signatory must have a current valid passport as per rules. So even if you applied via paper form with such a referee it may be delayed and you would have to provide a referee who fulfils the requirement eventually. I don’t think ur application will “expire” in the mean t...

HO office expects the online submission to be within 28 days of qualifying date.
On the other hand, caseworkers are advised to calculate continuous residence from day of decision if it benefits the applicant.

For SET(M) applicants- spouse visa settlement: DATE of ENTRY minus 28 days.
The biometric enrolment date is irrelevant.
The online submission date must be within 28 days of date of entry.
60 months from date of entry minus 28 days
