One of the reasons for the delays could be the training the case workers had to go through prior to the new rules kicking in on the 6th of April. If 'waiting to be allocated' and 'waiting for checks' is the same thing, than perhaps UKBA is now conducting enhanced checks for Naturalisation applications which were not conducted before. Maybe this is the backdoor for the conservative govt to tighten the naturalisation process. That is plausible...

Is it alright if my LIUK test is reapired with Sellotape? Did you supply the certificate to get ILR? If so you do not need to supply it again. You merely need to tick the relevant box on the form AN. If I were you, I'll use NCS for peace of mind. At least your NCS personnel will photocopy it and return the sellotaped one for you.

Its really frustrating, today its 5th week completing since i filed by application via NCS i called HO today and they replied we cant tell u any things because your application is less then 6 month. I think Postal is the best way to file the application hmm.... majority of the applications approved...
