Re: PR -> ILR

Thank you for all your inputs ladies and gentlemen, In regards to naturalization (I'm completely clueless on this path), let's say I applied for naturalization and received the certificate (I assume HO send you some sort of a certificate which confirms your naturalization). Can I just keep the certi...

Re: PR -> ILR

I understand it is a substantial cost, but the current uncertainty worries me. You said above that it is unlikely that the government will apply anything retrospectively, but again no one is 100% what will happen to EEA FM/RC/PR holders in the UK once Brexit mechanism will come in action. Someone wh...

Re: PR -> ILR

Thank you Noajthan for your thoughts, Yes, my ex-wife was qualified person at the time of marriage (I do have all her self-employed paperwork for that period). So it means I had legal status over 2009-2010 due to two reasons - my application was with the HO and sent before my last visa had expired, ...

Re: PR -> ILR

Thank you CR001, Casa and Noajthan for your replies, I do have all the treaty rights' paperwork for my ex-wife for the whole period that I rely on - EEA FM/RC. I used those papers for my RoR and PR applications. So HO accepted that paperwork twice. The only worry is the period in 2009-2010. I had my...

Re: PR -> ILR

I see... Back in the days (2013) when I was applying for RoR (after divorce), the solicitor that I was using advised me that I could apply for ILR using discretionary route. She was stating that prior "boarding" European train (let me call it this way :) ) I was legal and adding my ex-wife's treaty ...

Re: PR -> ILR

I agree CR001, formally I've got 'settled status'.
But all this uncertainty with government's view on Europeans and their family members, makes me think of moving to ILR.
Where again I totally understand it doesn't make sense "moving from one settled status to another".
Just worried a bit :?

PR -> ILR

Good evening dear forum members and respected gurus! I do apologise if this question was asked in the past, but I couldn't find it through the search engine on this forum. With all Brexit situation, I'd like to switch from PR to ILR. I'm aware that they're technically the same statuses at the moment...

Re: Spouse visa granted!

I do not have information about official list/order. I doubt it does exist. I can only share what we did. We simply took a folder with transparent files inside, and put all papers in order of importance for our application. I made a table of content as an opening page, 1 - VAF4A and Appendix 2 2 - C...

Nope, that wasn't the order we sent our papers.

It was just the check-list for ourselves.

Re: Spouse visa granted!

Thanks GlobalThailand, As Casa replied it must be certified copy of your passport. Every page (copy of it) that does have any info/data/stamp is to be legally certified. Before submitting the application I was thinking about Post Office service where a copy of your passport can be certified too, but...

Re: SPOUSE VISA GRANTED!

Hi 01484, Thanks! I started with immigration consultants. But after sometime I realised they were clueless about Spouse visa application, so I decided to do it myself with the help of this forum. When I completed VAF4A then simply printed it and sent over to my wife in Russia, so she signed it and s...

Re: Employer salary confirmation

I have had the same issue: - had an increase 5 months ago - and exactly 12 months ago had a promotion My salary before promotion and salary increase was well above min.requirement of £18.6K, so I specifically requested our HR Dept to mention my salary before promotion, after promotion and after sala...

Re: Immigration health surcharge- help on payment portal

I can share our experience as we had the same issue with IHS payment. We mistakenly entered all the details (spouse and myself) and the total to pay was more than $2K... Then we tried to remove the details for "the person you are joining or remaining with" but it simply doesn't allow you to remove i...

Re: Step 1

I couldn't get the council tax bill, so the next on the list are utility bills.
So along with the rental agreement and the letter of consent from landlord (with plan of the house and all pictures) I'm including utility bills.
What do you think Casa?

Re: Step 1

Respected Gurus and moderators,
Could you please share your views on providing printed utility bills with the application?
I'm close to 28 days of my last statement and payslip
Only utility bills are stopping us from submitting the application.
