House Inspection Report

Dear all, Almost ready to apply for my wife's spouse visa and the only point left to complete is a House Inspection report... I've contacted local council and they're not providing a house inspection report service. Checked local estate agents and they don't have a clue about it, but ready to help (...

Re: Accomodation - Survey Required?

Hi guys,
Apologies for barging in with my question, but it's related to the topic.
If you don't mind me asking, does this Housing report/inspection need to be conducted by the council only? As the local council where I'm renting is not providing this service.

Thank you

Re: VAF4A - English Test requirement

Thank you Casa,

I've thought I better stick to my thread rather than creating extra ones.
Apologies if I haven't understood forum rules correctly.

Best wishes.

Re: VAF4A - English Test requirement

Good morning forum members and respected Gurus! May I ask for your opinions in regards to my question if I need to organize a House Inspection report if I rent 3-bedroom flat, and the property will be solely for myself and my wife? I've currently got an offer from the friend of mine to rent 3-bedroo...

Re: VAF4A - English Test requirement

Thank you Casa,

I've decided to rent the flat at the end, and make council tax and utility bills on my name, so ECO will not have an excuse to refuse my wife's visa based on "lack of sufficient accommodation".

Do I need to have Home Inspection report if I rent privately 1 or 2-bedroom flat?

A.

no, you don't need to stamp it as it printed on the company headed paper (you mentioned it earlier).

Re: Spouse visa letter from employer

Many83, I've printed my letter from employer on an ordinary piece of A4, signed by my Division Manager and authorised by HR Dept. If you really think it will create an issue, then just ask your HR Dept to print one on a high-quality paper or buy one and give it to them in case they don't have one. B...

Re: VAF4A - English Test requirement

Thank you Matt for your reply! Really appreciate that. My only concern at the moment is the "adequate accommodation". According to this guidance https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/maintenance-and-accommodation-maa/maintenance-and-accommodation-maa--2 five people are allowed to live in a 3-be...

Re: Settlement Visa from India : Timeline

Thank you very much Kingston for you reply. I think the only way to ensure that no questions are raised in regards to sufficient accommodation - to rent 1-bed flat as you advised. I earn more than £18,600.00 and have savings on my current account (I transferred everything to one account last month)....

Re: Settlement Visa from India : Timeline

Hi Kingston, May I ask you one question in regards to utility bills for my wife's application? I rent a room privately (directly from the landlord) and all bills are inclusive. Is it mandatory to send the utility bills if my name is not on any of them? I've got a rental agreement between myself and ...

VAF4A - English Test requirement

Hi forum members and respected Gurus! I received my Permanent Resident status last week and now I'm planning to bring my wife in to the UK. I meet the financial requirement , as I earn more than £28600. We married just a year ago after meeting in August 2013 in London. Then she flew back to Russia. ...

Re: EEA4 fast processing times or wishful thinking

Hi Indianlonly, I submitted all three years worth of self-employment docs and proofs of my ex when I submitted my ROR application in 2014. I knew that I only needed to provide her treaty rights proofs during divorce proceedings up to Decree Absolute along with cohabitation proofs, but I decided to b...

Re: EEA4 fast processing times or wishful thinking

Two points that I'd like to bring to the attention: 1) the application requires you to send the photocopies of all originals, which I had done. Surprisingly I received those photocopies back. I was under impression that those photocopies will be kept by HO and you'd get back only originals, but it s...

Re: EEA4 fast processing times or wishful thinking

As long as you have valid RC you can travel. I retained my right to reside in 2014, so I was granted new RC expiring in 2019. I made two work trips while my PR application was under consideration - to the U.S. and Singapore. Only once when crossing the UK border I was asked questions about my status...
