EEA Family Permit or visa

Hello For me this is a sort of gray area and would like some advice based on experience. I've got a friend who's an EU national and lives in the UK. Her mother is a citizen of an African country and my friend would like to invite her to the UK for two weeks. My understanding is that a family permit ...

I have read the MN1 form more carefully. I does not say the child must be know for 3 years.

Would this be the correct form (MN1) to use for her at the NCS when my husband and I take our own naturalisation forms?
That's correct. The three year requirement does not apply to children.

Re: EEA with residente card stopped at airport UK when returning from trip

Congratulations! I'm glad that you obtained your PR document. However, if you want to pursue citizenship I would advise that you wait until you receive the SAR results. The good character requirement for citizenship is more stringent and it would be interesting to know why you had to experience thos...

Re: HMPO questions Naturalisation Status withdraws passport application

Dear victor, By reading above, I came to the conclusion that you should immediately apply for your fist passport, fill application as normal, mention Your naturalisation sertificate number, get signed by two referee one must be professional and you will get your passport in 2 weeks or go for 1 week...

Re: HMPO questions Naturalisation Status withdraws passport application

As per the HMPO recommendation, I understand that they outsource the call centre, so not sure how valid is it. Anyway, it seems your cheaper option, a fresh passport application from the UK. The problem is that in your original application you supplied supporting documents that suggested you were lo...

Still waiting for the SAR to arrive, hopefully it will be here soon. I will follow your advice and send the letter to HO if there is anything for me to add. I bet you were very pleased with the speed that they dealt with your case, congratulations. Thank you. Yes, I didn't expect a decision so soon...

Re: I have Dual Citizenship -Wife non EU . 5 years Visa finishes ...

I think that your question has already been answered, but here we go in a different way: I 2012 the UK implemented into its domestic legislation the ECJ decision in McCarthy C-434/09. This was basically that EU citizens who become British citizens cannot rely anymore on EU law, including the right t...

Re: Naturalisation - Additional info requested

I'm an EU national too and they haven't asked for any such evidence. In my opinion the request may be due to them having some doubts of your intention to make the UK your home. It is likely that if you own substantial overseas assets they may infer that you do no intend to stay in the UK. Have you p...

Re: Life in the UK problem

Great start to my daughters life, no dad. But hey , it's OK to let in Europeans that can't even speak English. Possibly because UK citizens have the same rights in the EU? Possibly because the EU is based on four freedoms and one of those is the freedom of movement for citizens? Sorry mate. It it's...

Re: Please help--Child

That's correct. Apply for a PR if you don't have one and then for UK citizenship using form MN1. If you apply before 18 it will not only be cheaper, but you won't have to do the life in the UK test and the English language test.

I almost can't breathe... my online status changed to 'Decided' overnight. I am so excited and I am moving out in 2 week...

Danval, probably you should drop an email to the home office and check whether they have been notified. Regardless of what the lady in the council has told you they must notify the home office that you attended. Otherwise how will they know? And they definitely need to know because if you don't atte...
