Re: August 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

Hi Everyone, Anyone from August 2014 still waiting or its just me? Regards Not everyone waiting over a year will be on this forum, and even if they are they just may not wish to create account and communicate. The last time I've checked the FOI for last year's outstanding applications, it was about...

Re: Interview in naturalisation case

If we look back into the history the Nazi used to treat Jews in such manner at the beginning. I would be extremely chary of using such statements or comparisons. Such language on an online forum might be considered inflammatory and should be strongly deprecated at the very least. As regards UmmZ 's...

Re: Interview in naturalisation case

WOW! The Home Office didn't suspect anything until your husband applied for citizenship and asking for proof despite having 4 kids. If we look back into the history the Nazi used to treat Jews in such manner at the beginning. I'm very saddened to hear this story, this government is steering the coun...

Re: slow approvals?

Guten tag Diana,

Home Office is very inefficient and writing to your local MP may help. Myself and many others are waiting over a year now. Hope you get your citizenship soon.

Thanks,

Yes, super slow. Both UKBA and Home Office are not run by the help of immigrants so it's well expected.

Re: Contacting MP help?

Hi Average Joe, How did you get to find out about your case reference number? The initial confirmation letter of receiving your application has HO {Home Office but I call them HO from now, pun intended). That, along with dob helps your local MP to create a request which you can then track. Good luc...

Applying for US Green Card Lottery

Hi, After being fed up with over a year long wait for British Naturalisation I'm deciding to try my luck with the US where immigrants are not treated like Home Office does in the UK. How long does it normally take? I wonder if it'd be faster than British Citizenship. http://www.uscis.gov/green-card/...

Re: Unsuccessful applications

Hi there. I applied for British Citizenship on 19/05/2014. Got a refusal letter on 12/03/2015 (10 months later). Submitted a Reconsideration Application on 13/04/2015. It has now been over 6 months and no decision (no calls or letters from HO either). Frustrated... why were you refused? They said I...

Re: Why ukba most often not be able to change new address

We've had no issues with UKBA and all it's incarnations over the last 12 years WRT addresses etc and we've moved four times in the period. You just need to be methodical and organise yourself properly. Simples.... You may follow up on with all the methods and yet UKBA most likely not bother updatin...

Re: Australian Spouse visa - advice

I'm surprised your first reaction wasn't utter outrage at the application fee DOUBLING to $6,800+ from $3,085 since last year. Why? Well not to process your application quickly. It takes 12-18 months. So why! To find additional intake of refugees into the country in 2017-18 . That's right - the gov...

Re: Thinking About Screwing Up Certificate At Ceremony

They (Aussies) should be exempt from everything Casa. On the other hand, this brings up a very important question, namely: do they have a UKIP (perhaps it's called AuSIP) or a Scottish National Party (or perhaps Tasmanian National Party)??? No, and that is because Australia herself is run by nation...
