EEA Permanent Residence Application

Hi,

Do you need to provide proof of CSI if you are a worker with genuine and effective employment?

From the literature, I've been led to believe that having CSI is a must to be considered a QP under the category of student or self-sufficient person.

Re: PR application: Genuine & Effective Employment

Hi all, This is in relation to the above post. My 5-year residence card expires at the end of May, so I am hoping to renew it now. I was just wondering whether I should just apply for permanent residence and chance my luck with my EEA spouse's 6-month employment period which UKVI could possibly judg...

Re: PR application: Genuine & Effective Employment

Thanks for the advice, Noajthan. Much appreciated!
Yes, you're right £65 isn't that much and I guess I could wait till mid-2017. I just hope whoever/whatever it is that's helping to delay the triggering of Article 50 continues till then!

PR application: Genuine & Effective Employment

Hi there, My spouse is an EEA national and I am a non-EEA national. I have been working a full-time job ever since we arrived in Oct 2011 and supported my spouse initially. We would now like to apply for PR but we're wondering about the 5-year qualifying period. Relevant dates for Spouse: mid Oct 20...

Re: Permanent Resident card and Reg. certificate

Hi Fabgomes I think that the new July version of the EEA(PR) form only requires one form to be filled out for multiple applications and I believe the EEA National should be the main applicant, while the non-EEA spouse is then named as an additional applicant. This is what I believe to be the case an...

How much is your lawyer charging you??

Hi there, I'm new so I don't know whether this topic has been discussed before or whether it is even appropriate. Moderators, please feel free to delete if this is the case. I saw an immigration solicitor recently and he is charging me £750 to get my EEA(PR) form in order. Mine is a pretty straightf...

Re: 04-15 PR form (137 pgs) vs 07-15 PR form (85 pgs)

Thanks for the feedback. I've been trying to work out who should be the main applicant in the case where both the EEA national and non-EEA national spouse are applying together for PR certification and a PR card respectively. My spouse and I are in this situation ourselves. I suspect it is the EEA n...

04-15 PR form (137 pgs) vs 07-15 PR form (85 pgs)

Hi there, My EEA national spouse and I are both planning to apply for PR soon. I was comparing the April 2015 version to the July 2015 version, which is considerably shortened at 85 pages. I would just like to confirm that I've read the changes correctly. CHANGE 1: You don't need to submit photocopi...

Re: Jobseeker Status - no bank statements needed?

Thanks Lilylalilu, Just out of curiosity, how would the numbers of prospective emails and job applications below stack up? Are they a bit too sparse for months B-E? Month A : 18 prospective emails Month B : 1 job application + Part-time job Month C : 2 prospective emails + 1 job application + Part-t...

Jobseeker Status - no bank statements needed?

Hi there, If you have indicated that you as an EEA national were a jobseeker (and hence qualified person) for a period of time, do you need to provide details about your finances for that period of time? And does it necessarily mean that you must have been registered at a Jobcentre Plus if your stat...

Re: Jobseeker but not registered + PT work

since applying residence permit is not compulsory for non-eu national therefore, let the existing RC to expire which won't affect your PR application. Hi Sheraz, thanks for your reply. But I didn't quite understand why you said a residence permit is not compulsory for a non-eu national? I thought i...

Re: Jobseeker but not registered + PT work

An EU national is not required to exercise its treaty rights during its 1st three months since arriving. Therefore, now you can reduce the gap of 9 months to 6 months and it will be more wiseable to wait until further 6 months. Thanks for your reply sheraz7. Good to know about the 1st three months....

Jobseeker but not registered + PT work

Hi, I need some advice regarding qualified person status: 1. EEA national claiming to be a jobseeker but not having registered with the Jobcentre plus 2. EEA national claiming to be working but only on a part-time basis I (non-EEA, non-visa national) have been working full-time since entering the UK...
