You can provide them the royal mail bar code reference of the package you sent to UKBA. That is acceptable when an application reference is not available. Of course, that only applies if you sent your passports by recorded/special delivery :) I've called them today, but they can't find the case usi...

Please give suggestions. Your situation is the quite the same as mine, 1+4. Only my child does have a dependant visa stamped already. I sent out our passports last weekend and am still waiting for a result. IMHO, I don't see a reason why you shouldn't be covered by JR policy... For your son's passp...

Hey. Thanks for posting this. I think I might be in the same situation. Our initial visa was granted on Sep 30 2006 for one year. Entered UK on Dec 17 2006. Got our 1st extension which is from Sep 30 2007 - Sep 29 2011. We have a shortfall of 2.5 months to apply for settlement. Should I follow the s...

Yes I am running a business but I also need to go outside UK for business trips regularly. My question is more about what document is needed to prove these are business trips. If employed, I think the employer's letter will work. But in my case, will the employer's letter issued by my own company wo...

settlement visa for parents

Hi all, I'm currently holding ILR and seeking to apply for settlement for my parents. I'm their only daughter. My father is above 65, can speak english and my mother is 60, both retired but healthy. They now own the flat they live in. I've been sending money back every year, but that's pretty much e...

Hsmp extension on Sep

Aug 30: Application posted via special delivery
Aug 31: Fee charged

Called them and know it's assigned to a case worker.
But still waiting...don't know why it takes that long this month.

Initial visa will be expired on Sep 29.

EC Stamped

I've cleared my HSMP entry clearance in one day, surprisingly. But it's stamped with one year. Actually I'm hoping that I can get the extension one year later rather than waiting for two years. Anybody knows, will the extension be four years instead of three years?

Thanks in advance.

I guess you do not provide them enough evidence that you did graduate level job. Please refer to the guideline for detail information. That helps if you could include your reference letter here.

I'm not sure whether it's the same case in other countries. But every HSMP visa applicant in China, after April 3rd this year, takes more than 17 working days to get the visa stamped. Some guy emailed the UK embassy asking for this, the reply is to return the document to UK for verification is a mus...

Hi, I'm now in China. The reason I'm looking for one year visa is that to apply for two year visa, my application package has to be sent to London to be verified, which will cost at least 17 working days, probably more, like one month. One year visa takes no more than 5 working days. I'm confident t...
