Re: Receiving a call from the EU Settled Status Resolution Center - What for, really?

I am the person who missed the call from the caseworker. First of all, when they call you you will see the call from anonymus. So it means you will not be able to call them back. You can, I did it this morning. I've had three calls: one from private number last week, then two this morning from thei...

Re: Receiving a call from the EU Settled Status Resolution Center - What for, really?

Like a member here applied for settled status but they told him sorry you are not eligible for settled status but we can give you pre-settled status instead. He agreed I'm 98% sure this will be my case, and in that sense, I really don't see why this cannot be done via email. Can't comprehend their ...

Receiving a call from the EU Settled Status Resolution Center - What for, really?

As one of the unfortunate non-EU people who have spent more than 5 years in the UK but less than 5 as the family member of a EU citizen, my application for Settled Status has been waiting for a long time before the case worker even attempted a first contact. And as many others in this situation, I r...

Re: Evidence of Settled Status

Do you think if I apply for family permit for my parents, it will be alright with the application number? Do we need to show evidence of dependency in that case ? No. Even if the eligibility criteria uses the word "dependent" for parents, you do not need to prove any dependency, for parents, this i...

I have sent an email to German Embassy
Noble intention, but completely useless. It's important to know who has power when, and when it comes to let people board a plane, unfortunately embassies have no say in what airlines decide to do.

Re: Pre settlement

He came here with a Eea family member to join me in the UK.For him to apply for the EU settlement scheme they asked for Biometric wich he did send with his passaport and proofs. Oh, ok, he applied with postal application and enrolled biometrics. That's OK. My question Is if there are a possibility ...

Re: Evidence of Settled Status

1)I will be going to sponsor my parents in law visit visa According to the HO they can apply for a Family Permit, not a visitor's visa (even if they don't intend to stay for long): https://www.gov.uk/check-uk-visa/y/india/tourism/yes/no Since you have Settled Status, you need to apply for the Eu Sc...

Re: How to replace expiring residence card with settled status

So my question is how can I get any new document confirming my status for travel purposes. It is only reasonably expected that the HO will roll out a process to issue biometric cards to all those people who did not get one because they had a valid a EEA RC. This will be particularly important after...

Re: Apply to the EEA Residence Card right after arrival?

I'm so sorry, I know this was a month ago but I can't help myself and comment, as this is juicy material: Wow, I am impressed how the arrogant Brits are actually making it really easy on us to apply for this. Thank you again. Regards, Joaquin Joaquin, two things: 1) You have a cultural confusion tha...

Re: Pre settlement

He applied on the 07/05/19 with biometric who is not Eea Citizen. He have a 6-month family member visa. Not sure what you are trying to say here. If he has a 6-month family permit, then it is only a stricker on his passport and it is not biometric. Are you trying to say he has another biometric card...

Re: EEA Family Permit (EFM) expiring, waiting for residence card

I wanted to check if this is the correct form: https://eforms.homeoffice.gov.uk/outreach/Return_of_Documents.ofml . It says: It is. Note that the drop down menus let you select the RC EEA as type of application. "This form should be used if: You have an outstanding application with the Home Office ...

Re: EEA Family Permit (EFM) expiring, waiting for residence card

Another option that might be possible, is if I receive a biometrics letter & confirmation of application before my current visa expires, I assume this will allow remaining in the UK while the RC is being processed, and it might allow working, but there seems to be very few guarantees with this. Act...

Re: EEA Family Permit (EFM) expiring, waiting for residence card

Someone I spoke to at HO suggested that I can stay while an application is being processed, but from doing more research, it seems clear to me that automatic extensions do not apply for EEA applications, and it would be overstaying. Exact. They might also have thought you were the spouse of your EU...

As non-EU family member, you have to use your biometric residence card to apply with the App, not your passport.

My wife is a non-EU citizen & have applied for residence card in first week of April. She received a CoA dated 01-May but no further communications. Give it a few days, still within the reasonable timeline (even if slightly on the longer end). I wanted to know can she apply for settlement scheme wh...

Will he get the same status though his period of stay in this country only 2 years We will NOT get the same status as you. He needs to have spent at least 5 years in the UK as the family member of an EU national to be eligible for Settled Status. In this case, he will get Pre-Settled Status. Whoeve...

Re: EEA Family Permit (EFM) expiring, waiting for residence card

1) can a non-EEA person (me) who has a permit as a Extended Family Member, remain and work in the UK after the 6 month FP expiry date? or is this overstaying the visa I'm not 100% sure so I'll let someone else confirm (my humble guess would be no, you likely cannot stay past the expiration date, an...

EEA RC/PR vs (Pre)Settled Status

Recently there have been many different posts asking for advice about whether to apply for the EEA route or to the Settlement Scheme. Since there is no absolute recommended route that works best for everyone, as individual circumstances play a great role in the decision, I thought it would be useful...

Or he/she wwould have to try to apply again ? Closer to the time of 5 years ( when he or she thinks ) that its 5 years time rule came already? This is the likeliest scenario. Would anyone know please? Might need to wait for a little while to hear the first first-hand account of people having this e...
