I disagree. Robots are intelligent and could do a better job than the untermenschen (under)employed by the HO.

Apologies for hijacking this thread but what happens if you send your application and the you need your ID card or passport, e.g. applying for a job, etc? Do the Home Office leave some sort of statement that can be used as a surrogate for your paperworks?

This is a case of really appalling bureaucratic behaviour from the HO. The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. They are making it difficult for EEA citizens while they will be allowing millions of extra-EU without even knowing who they are.
