Re: Arrested but not charged

Why was the arrest recorded on the PNC in the first place? Did you request a SAR from ACRO:

You can have gaps of up to six months in any one year of the five - without needing to give any evidence of what you were doing.
Where do you get this from? It'd be good for me, though.

Away from prying eyes, govt stitches-up EU settled status system

A worrying article here: http://www.politics.co.uk/blogs/2018/11/05/away-from-prying-eyes-govt-stitches-up-eu-settled-status-sys There's been a little-noticed move by the government on the post-Brexit EU migrant system, which suggests - contain your surprise - that its promises aren't worth the pape...

There were 2 questions on the Voting Form Do you want to Leave or Remain in the EU ,you made your choice and ticked the Box.The Govt said that it would implement the final decision.Nothing about a Deal or a Second referendum.I am afraid that the remoaners must accept the fact that they lost the vot...

If you have been in the UK for 5+ years, just apply for a PR card. It costs very little and secures your residency.

Guess what impact Brexit has on an EU national with a PR card. Yeap. Zilch. Nada.
Just shows you have no clue of what you're talking about.

Can you give us a TL;TR?

And does it mean the settled status is now enshrined in law? I'm still not convinced about it.

Re: WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO PERMANENT RESIDENCE AFTER BREXIT

The so called Settled Status is just a political promise and it is not enshrined in law. So far it was tied with the destiny of the Withdrawal Agreement, and we all know we're probably heading towards a No Deal. We have a promise made by a soon to be removed PM of going on with the Settled Status, b...

Re: Thousands of EU citizens ‘at risk of losing legal status after Brexit’

Hi guys, I have read as much as I could about the new scheme for settled and pre-settled status but one thing I could not understand. At the moment, an EU citizen is required to have lawfully resided, exercising treaty rights, in the UK for 6 years and to have acquired Permanent Residence, before t...

I have no doubt that Rees Mogg’s letter is merely a bit of sabre rattling in the war of political divisions now existing.
It's safe to assume the worst. Murphy's Law applies to Brexit, too.

Re: New "Settled Status" insidious wording could cause application rejections

Thanks Richard, I want to share your optimism so much, but.. Grammatically speaking, "An applicant who has been continuously resident.. New "Settled Status" insidious wording could cause application rejections

I've been carefully reading the new EU Settlement Scheme – EU citizens and their family members and I'm a bit worried that the Home Office has chosen to use a wording that, if strictly enforced, could render many applications invalid. There are people like me who, according to the EEA rules, are to ...

Obie, most, if not all that is currently being said about migrants of all races and colour (they come here to scrounge and steal; they breed like rabbits; they are ungrateful and destroy our country) was once said about the Irish. What are you surprised of? The EU is a great project that has kept pe...

Re: EU & Brexit Deal

The statement of intent is indeed much more generous than the treaty requires. I believe your permanent residence will be transformed to ILR, though you should check the wording. You haven't read the document. This will be a special case of IRL, but not IRL. And it seems to me that, at least on pap...
