THe OP has applied under SET(M) and if moves to the 10 year route FLR, must start the qualifying period again. SET(LR) is not affected assuming the OP has with 10 lawful years. You should not pay the IHS as that will pretty much removes your eligibility for ILR. Did you upload the English language test with your application and was it submitted ?? Thats the my concern Zimba. If someone on 9 years lawfull stay on different visa categaries and then applied for FLR(M) so the clock turn Zero and the person compelet 5 years more ( in total 14 years lawful stay) for become eligible ILR. Its very strange

10 year partner route turn the clock Zero. For example if someone on 8 years legal stay and grant further leave of 2.5 year under this route so he or she will not eligible for ILR (LR) ??? After compeleting 10 years legal stay

If a child born in the UK and any one of the parent got ILR, so the child automatically qualified for Citizenship. She is not overstayer because the child who born in the UK doesn't need a visa until he/she travel outside the UK.

It is advisable to apply for citizenship as soon.
