Re: Absence letter Query

Letter content looks fine, however, the start date of employment 10 years back could be confusing as max stay on Tier 2 was 6 years.

If possible see if they can just mention UK start date as per tier 2. But if they don't, you could add a cover letter explaining the start date in the employer letter.

Re: VISITOR VISA REFUSED - MY MOTHER APPLIED FROM INDIA

You need to concentrate more on her ties with India, i.e. husband/marriage certificate, any other kids details (their passport copies, etc) and how often she visits or other kids visit her, any property/land on her/husband name, investments, rental income, mutual funds investment, etc. This is all t...

Re: Previous employer cannot give Absence letter due to Merger/Acquisition

You still need to list all those leaves when you were out of the UK when working with your previous employer and attach a cover letter explaining the same + the email from HR saying they no longer hold that info after the merger. As long as the leaves are within the limits you should be ok. Are let...

Re: Visitor visa extension due to covid

Flights will resume between UK and India in the next few days so highly unlikely to get an extension if they already got a 6 month visitor visa earlier.

It's probably going to have a negative impact on extension application (most likely rejected) and future applications as well.

Is the email gone from bin folder as well? Generally deleted emails stay there for a month or so and you should be able to restore it.

Re: Minimum Tier 2 visa validity to enter UK

As long as you have valid tier 2 visa you should be able to enter UK without any issue.

I suggest you keep your ILR application draft ready and all evidence/proofs ready so you can submit in time.

I don't think that's allowed. Tier 2 is employer sponsored route and self employment comes under T1 route (now Innovator or Start-up route).

Let's see what others say here.

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Hi I am new here. A quick question. I am looking to book appointment for my family (4) in UKVACS site., but I don't see any free slots in the next 4 weeks. Are they even releasing any Free slots or are they releasing only paid slots now?. If they do release some free slots, is there any pattern on ...

Re: short of 4 months to 5 years to eligible for ILR

Possible steps: 1. You apply for your ILR when you reach eligibility date. 2. Apply for PBS dependent extension for your wife (as adviced previously). 3. Assuming your wife PBS dependent application is not decided but she reaches ILR eligibility date, then submit new ILR application for her (this is...

Re: short of 4 months to 5 years to eligible for ILR

You could apply for extension just before a day or two BRP expiry date and book biometrics as late as possible (45 days / 2 months I believe.. double check once).

If she doesn't receive approval by her ILR eligibility date then you can vary application to ILR.

No, your wife can't combine tier 4 & tier 2 dependent visas, however, she can still apply for her ILR just a day or two before her current visa expires. But ensure you book her biometrics appointment only after she becomes eligible for ILR, i.e. when she meets 5 years minus 28 days requirement. Tha...

Re: SET(O) Document upload queries

1. Yes, you can add utility bills and any other address proofs such as tenancy agreement, electoral roll letters, DVLA letters, etc. But this is mainly for dependents to prove cohabitation requirements. So better to add add cohabitation proofs under dependent section. 2. Consent letter, authorisatio...

Re: Combining different PBS dependent categories for ILR

Generally it's the application date, but because she is just short of few days the caseworker will consider the eligibility at the time of biometrics. She will still make in-time application, i.e before her visa expires and give biometrics after she is eligible for ILR. Lots of people on this forum ...

Looks like she switched from Tier 1 dependent to partner visa, which means she may have reset her ILR clock.

Do list her visa start/end dates for last 5+ years and visa categories and forum members can confirm the next steps.
