Re: MN1 section 3(1) application - confusion re: form

Thanks, I read that a while ago (you've pointed me to that document before - section 9.17) and I've come to the conclusion that it's very unlikely that they will refuse my child's application to register even though it's "at discretion"... but yes we need to make sure the application is as complete ...

Re: MN1 section 3(1) application - confusion re: form

Thanks noajthan that's good to know I can skip that entire section 3. Points 3.13 and 3.15 confused me, as they refer to EEA nationals and exercising treaty rights. The father will sign section 7 in MN1 - he will definitely give his consent for our child's registration (he gave consent for the PR ap...

MN1 section 3(1) application - confusion re: form

We've just received our DCPRs - for myself and my minor child - and I'm now looking at what needs to be done for the next step: naturalization (me) & registration (my child). We will be able to apply from Sep 2017 onwards (we got PR status from Sep 2016). The child's father is settled in the UK and ...

EEA PR online applications together w family members of EEA!

Sorry if this was already posted. Looks like the EEA PR online form now allows applications together with family members. Also, it looks like they don't request people to list all travel anymore. https://visas-immigration.service.gov.uk/product/eea-pr Apply for, renew, or replace a document certifyi...

Re: EEA national and their children

Thanks, that makes sense if child was born in the UK. My case it's a bit different as my child was born outside of the UK - so I happily paid the extra £65 to try and get the child DCPR as well... fingers crossed we get it, the PR application is with UKVI at the moment. My child's application will b...

Re: EEA national and their children

noajthan, can you please clarify why you think the child doesn't need PR? On the MN1 application form one of the first questions is re ILR/PR status of the child. I understand the child may not need PR to live here, but wouldn't be wise (and/or safer and easier) to try to confirm the child's PR stat...

Re: Return of passport - Please help!

Jobseekers don't need CSI from what I know - as long as they can prove that they are job seeking. A gap so small won't matter I think. I'm not a lawyer though.

cedricdh, if you have your Royal Mail tracking number - the one you might have used to send them your application - you can request back your passports right now, by filling out the form here: https://eforms.homeoffice.gov.uk/outreach/Return_of_Documents.ofml (Make sure you answer NO to the question...

Re: passport expiring - while EEA PR processing

Looks like I've got an answer to my own question - I managed to call the EEA inquiry line and the lady on the phone said that as long as the passport was valid when UKVI received the application then we should be fine. I'll try and call one more time next week to see if I get the same kind of inform...

English test? naturalised Canadian

My DCPR application is currently being processed and I plan to apply for British naturalisation in October. Meanwhile, I registered to take the Life in the UK test in February, and was about to register to take an English language test - but then I discovered that Canadian citizens are exempt from t...

Re: Refusal to issue PRC because I had no comprehensive insu

Oh okay, so basically it means I have to send my passport, I suppose it's worth sacrificing my holiday just wonder if if it's worth all that efforts. It's really tough getting PRC, I didn't think it was this difficult. I really feel let down, sad, somewhat cheated and disappointed and I wonder whet...

passport expiring - while EEA PR processing

Hello, I've just realized that my child's passport expires at the beginning of June 2017 - and we're waiting for our DCPRs to be issued by UKVI (I'm the main applicant, child is on my application as a family member - we're both EEA). UKVI received our PR applications on the 3rd of Jan 2017 and they'...

Re: Refusal to issue PRC because I had no comprehensive insu

I literally haven't got any of that, I only have my certificates for each of my course I undertook but there's no address on those certificates. :( :( :( :( I am so stressed out now. Call/email your school(s) and ask for letters to confirm enrollment, with dates. Also call your GP and ask them to h...

Re: Refusal to issue PRC because I had no comprehensive insu

In which elections are you planning on voting? You already have the right to vote in local and European elections if you're an EU citizen. British citizenship gives you the right to vote in general elections. Next general elections are in May 2020. You've got plenty of time to get your citizenship b...

PS. noajthan, EEA nationals can only apply via NCS if they apply in their own right, no? Family members cannot apply online.

Re: Refusal to issue PRC because I had no comprehensive insu

I'm not a lawyer however I believe it's easier if your mother applies as main applicant and lists you as a family member. That way you all need to submit less documentation and you both get those DCPR documents. She'd need to show 5 years of exercising treaty rights (P60s etc) and also proofs of res...

Re: Permanent Residence Card - Processing Time 2017

Hi, from what I've seen in these timeline threads, I'm starting to think that A2 nationals - Romanian and Bulgarian - get their DCPR much faster than others, because the applications are processed by a separate team. Prior to 2014 A2 nationals were restricted to work in the UK even though they were ...
