Re: Small error on settlement visa cover letter

Why not just have her amend the document by hand? If you want a no-expense-spared route then send a new one. But as I said, I don't think it'll be that material (myself - I am not a professional) but for my own sanity I would just amend it by hand rather than waste £40 and more stress in ensuring th...

Re: Small error on settlement visa cover letter

Change it by hand to August (and annotate the change with your signature if you so desire)?

I hardly think it's going to matter, but for your own sanity's sake I'd just change it by hand.

Re: UKVCAS Super Priority Service

Hi All I have still not received my BRP yet email decision was on 17th Jan. Is any one still waiting for the BRP. do I need to contact home office now? Yes, us too. Decision date was 16th Jan on the letter. I checked the form at https://www.gov.uk/biometric-residence-permits/not-arrived and we can'...

Re: UKVCAS Super Priority Service

We have to wait 5 days to escalate a response for a 24-hour service? That seems like a bit of a joke on their part. Yeah, hopefully you get your decision before then so you don't have to. Escalating largely does nothing, and you can't speak to someone who actual has a your case information to hand....

Similar condition, appointment on Saturday and still no response yet. I will call the HO this afternoon.
You have to wait 5 working days to escalate.

Re: HELP -Category A - 6 months or 12 months payslips/statements?

I picked the option for "same amount, continuously" despite getting a raise half-way through the 6 months period. I also attached the letter from employer as requested which included the salary history since the start of the contract. Got no follow up questions, visa was approved.

Sorry she came via a spouse visa.

Is it normal for the NI number to not be printed?
Yes, that's normal. She will have to apply for a NI number separately.

Re: BRP not scanned by sopra steria or asked for?

If HO ask for this, you will need to go back to the Sopra Steria centre for scanning.

This is exactly what happened to us. They wouldn't accept scans by email.

Flying out of the UK without BRP and re-entering with BRP visa?

Hello, Does anyone have any experience with the process described here? https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/traveling_out_of_uk_while_waitin Essentially, I am waiting for my BRP to come back after a leave to remain application but need to fly urgently. The suggested steps there appear to be: 1. B...

Whitelist all emails at homeoffice.gov.uk - there's no way of knowing who specifically is going to email you.

Re: UKVCAS Super Priority Service

I just got off the phone with UKVI (helpline) re: super priority. Here is what I found out about Set(m): - It is possible for your visa to be approved in the 28 days prior to your "qualifying date" (that is the date on which you reach your time requirement in the UK). So if your qualifying date is ...

Re: ILR Super premium service - New VIP Service 9100GBP in Sopra steria

The UKVCAS VIP service (https://www.ukvcas.co.uk/additional-services/detail) is purely convenience. It does not affect the actual processing time (if the VIP appointments is much earlier than a standard one then perhaps - but it's unlikely to be that significant). All that happens is they scan and t...

Re: UKVCAS Super Priority Service

One data point from me: when we visited UKVCAS the person doing the submission was adamant we could not submit any docs not asked for - any if we wanted to, it would be minimal. Examples: forced to remove all supplementary pages of utility bills, bank statements, and amount of correspondence (neede...

Re: Academic IELTS for Spouse Visa

If your speaking and listening is as good as your written, I'd suggest going for B1. Otherwise you're going to pay for A1 - maybe even A2 on renewal - and then B1 for ILR. If you get B1 in the bag now (check the videos and gauge confidence) then you'll save money in the long run (worst case - save n...

Re: Limited company with no business account

There is no legal requirement to open a business bank account for a LTD company - it's merely advised as it makes traceability easier. You should be fine - I cannot see how the HO can mandate something that Companies House/HMRC do not.
